It’s mostly the other way around. We are sending China our corn, wheat, beef and pork. Unless you are talking about those traditional Chinese stuff in Ranch 99 like soy sauce and such we hardly eat any food imported from China.

I have heard many times from non tech ppl that tech ppl are overpaid and ruining the housing system for the non tech workers.
When the bubble burts tech ppl get wiped out in mass layoffs. most of the non tech workers will hold their jobs. Would they then pool in to pay the mortages of the tech workers?

Also, if housing is unaffordable, why odnt ppl move to texas or georgia or something? Why do ppl who cant afford to stay here want to stay here and crib about it?

I might come across as insensitive but thats what I would do if i cant afford something… get something I can afford and be happy. Not cry and ask that stuff be made available to me.

None of the current owners mind selling their houses to tech people to make the large profits though

It’s always blaming the other guy & always like this(without understanding economics). In Washington State or Oregon or Arizona or Idaho, “It’s the cash rich Californians who are responsible for housing prices going up” & again the locals will not hesitate to sell to the Californians for their outsized profits.

No, I think you are dead on correct with your approach and behavior. I don’t know when we became so soft. And I can’t blame just the youngsters (millennials), granted they have their own issues too. Perhaps, housing location is so key to proximity to work and play that people seem to want to treat it as if it is their god given right to it. Unfortunately, housing is a commodity like anything else. Hey, if I can’t afford the steak, I go for the next thing without griping about it.
