afaik, all the crypto investors live in RE. and 75% of RE investors don’t own cryptos

10 responses now. No changes in distribution. Most ppl have more than 80% of the networth in RE.

My asset allocation is about 40% stocks and 60% real estate. It used to be the other way until I went on a rental shopping spree :smile:

If you continue this trend, you may become 80% RE some day as well

Don’t think so, because stocks will always grow faster than real estate.

I think what he wants to know is,

That relationship is well documented everywhere. The more networth you have the smaller the RE percentage. IN GENERAL. Maybe on this RE focused forum the numbers look different.

Told him long ago in this blog. Somehow he still stick on to his original thinking that RE is the way… hard to change people’s mind once they made up their mind… humans are like that, can see this in politics and religion… despite new info that say otherwise, still insist on their original conclusion. This planting of idea is so powerful, once planted is near impossible to change. We have the pro-, the anti- and the neutral… luckily usually have a large group of neutral.

It is a real estate forum. No shock there. Besides once you go down the real estate road it is hard to switch to stocks without paying a lot of taxes…

To move to 10m and up people need to create their own businesses. It can still be RE related like building or flipping. Buying rentals alone can’t get you to that level.

My partners in Sacramento have made over $100m
Just buying multi family rentals
My friends at Waypoint made a lot more just buying Sfhs
It is all about financial acumen… Using other people’s money…

Waypoint is a business. Anything that raises capital thru equities instead of debt is a business. How did your partner finance his 100m portfolio?

Once you get enough property real estate is your business. Treat it like your only business. My partners both worked in the financial industry. They can borrow at institutional rates. Gives them an advantage on every deal. They only steal deals. Never pay retail. Real estate is a full time job for them and me . Stock investing is a diversion that takes time and money away… just a hobby. Spent your time on your real job… Real Estate.
