I’ll take a first crack. Listed as SFR, but sure looks like a converted multiplex. I’m going with 2.32M.
IT’s a SFR, in that it’s not individual units but an actual 1 unit with 7 rooms. It’s more like a motel, but still sfr.
The lot is huge. 0.25 acres.
Each room could probably pull 1.3K-1.5K rent.
My guess is 2.5
If this house can only fetch 2.5, MV is cheaper than Sunnyvale. Is that the case? I thought MV sells at a premium?
It does. That area of mtv has usually more multi units (that particular street seems fine though), which pushes prices down, and schools are not the best schools in mtv (for elementary and middle).
The house surprisingly was maintained nicely (or remodeled, didn’t pay attention). I think it’d be a fine rental.
Rent by the room? Turn it into some hacker space ala WeWork (or rather WeSleep) and you are golden.
I can imagine “new grads” being outraged by rents could turn this into some sort of work-hostel. The rooms has “yard access” (at least most) so that i thought was good. Again, this is more like a motel6 place, than a house. but i think it was fine

House is hot home. Someone must have similar vision. This house is biking distance to Caltrain. So hackers can hack all the way up in SF. Now if I were to buy it, I’d hire a chef to come cook dinner every night. Run it more like a hotel than a rental.

Not this area of MV. I actually think it’s a great time to buy MV right now since all the buying pressure is on Sunnyvale and Santa Clara now. I noticed MV actually flattening and being “relatively” reasonable.
If you are buying right now, Sunnyvale is pricing out similar to MV so I’d choose MV. In fact my neighbor in MV was looking at Sunnyvale and MV and found MV to be the same price so why not buy MV was their logic.
