Question on round trip mutual fund trading

I am kind of half clear on the definition of round trip mutual fund trading.
What i am clear is one can’t Buy and Sell
same fund within 30 days.
Do the same restrictions apply to Sell and Buy?
All my funds are long term. Can I sell them today and buy the same tomorrow?
Thanks

I think you are asking for your retirement 401k where fund transactions are restricted and the restriction is placed by the fund as well as your 401k service provider.

Open market you can sell one day, buy next day, all restrictions are in prospectus.

Read you 401k rules (plan summary) and the fund prospectus that will give you all the details.

Thanks for your time replying.
No, I am not talking about 401k.
I am talking about normal investment on mutual funds.
I don’t touch 401k but thinking about cash out all my other typical mutual fund & stocks.
Plan to park my cash for a while.

If it open account, why do you prefer Mutual Funds?

There are plenty of ETFs available in the market which can be bought or sold any time.

Mutual funds priced/settles at the end of the day while ETFs is every second/minute based on market condition.

There are front-load fee or termination fee are associated with mutual funds, while ETFs have got simple Expense ratio.

This is a rookie mistake when I freshly started investing years ago.
All funds are S&P500. Done cash out all yesterday.
