Redwood City Cargill salt ponds plan is back, 12k new homes

@Elt1

101 will be intolerable. It’s already really bad at rush hour with all the new constructions in Redwood City.

That is the crux of the matter. Housing will always be in crisis mode sacrificed at the alter of traffic congestion. Not my problem.

But it sickens me to see how shortsighted these nymbyies and environmentalists are. Close in housing is better for traffic flow and on the environment. People will commute less. Higher density promotes mass transit. But it is the history of the BA. The fight against urbanization has created a LA style mass suburban mess of 100 little towns that fight each other and have created a traffic nightmare. I only have to deal with it a few weekends a year when the BA traffic hordes come to Tahoe.
