Not sure about the sequencing, but recently I had a bit of a mice problem. I tried the old fashioned “metal spring on a piece of wood” mouse traps but they were mostly ineffective. I caught one mouse and that was it. Often times the bait got eaten but the trap did not get triggered.
And then I tried the sticky pads. Those are better but only caught the smaller mice. And the mice were still alive and I had to hit them with a hammer to finish them off.
Finally I got rid of them all with these electric traps. They got electrocuted. No mess.
TAP insulation can be a beneficial addition to your attic as it helps deter pests like rats. However, combining it with thorough sealing and sanitation measures is best to prevent pests from entering your home. It’s quite expensive, though.
TAP insulation just seems to be cellulose with borate added as pesticide. Personally, I would just go with BATS. Rats and mice will still come in if there is an opening. So first thing would be isolation and setting up traps to capture, and sealing of all the entry points.
I had very good experience with https://allbayinsulation.com/ doing this for me (removing insulation, clean-up. rodent proof, install new insulation and get energy efficiency rebate).
