What is SF’s price per ft vs Fremont’s? Just to make sure we are not comparing prices of a 4oz steak vs an 6oz one.
Message is, lot of the people in the US statistically are not as well read and well aware as someone like you. My guess is you at least have a Bachelor’s degree maybe a Masters. So, you don’t represent the majority of the population. Hence you probably know more than a large section of the US population, although you aren’t from US.
I don’t know how this can be true in light of the points that were made earlier.
Thank you, Mr. Benioff!!!
Benioff is a drama queen.
Dude, we need the money!!! Drama all you want Marc!!!
Don’t forget your pal Marc was a major supporter of Prop C.
I can accept that while still appreciate him for his company’s presence in the Fab 7x7. in these times, you take what you can get. We are not in a position to be thumbing our noises at a major source of revenue.
That sums up the VC world during the near-zero interest rate era. The bust rate is going to be insane. WeWork just declared bankruptcy. The peak valuation was $47B by VC firms.
VC firms aren’t any smarter. The payout for getting lucky is so high it covers all the other dice throws that don’t hit.
Kevin Kelley of the Wired magazine fame:
Transect a city walk
On your next visit to San Francisco (or if you live there) walk across this small city on the SF Crosstown Trail. Even though I have lived in or near San Francisco for forty years, I discovered all kinds of gems, and stunning views that I had no idea existed. The route is engineered to pass through as many neighborhood parks as possible, with unexpected turns, and hidden treasures. Although you can do its 17 miles in one long day, we divided it into multiple days, ubering back to our start place. The entire walk is enjoyable, safe, and endlessly surprising. Download the app so you can easily follow the trail on your phone. For locals, the trail runs from the new Candlestick Point Park to Land’s End national park. If similar transecting crosstown walks exist for other great cities, let me know. — KK
Yeah, who doesn’t aspire to that “lifestyle”. Nothing says success quite like it.
Reminds of a late frustrating night at a start up back in the 90’s. We threw in the towel and went home after one guy quipped “nobody arrives on their death bed saying they only wish they’d spent more time at the office.”
Exactly. At some point, you structure your life so there’s little you HAVE to do, and life is full of things you WANT to do. With 90%+ of startups failing, I guess not many people hit that point. They just keep chasing it.
I was extremely fortunate. The success rate in medical device was one in seven during my career.
I worked at five companies; three of them succeeded at least to some degree.
This generally happens in third world countries
2 out of 4 cities are from Bay Area.
At least SF can still say it’s not Chicago.
