San Jose approves co-living ‘dorms’ for downtown area

Bay Area-based developer Starcity intends to build an 18-story, 790-unit co-living building downtown at 199 Bassett.

Oh great. Jail like facility for worker drones. Cubicles like a beehive.

Beehives are exactly what fresh college grads need. In fact I would love to live in one if I were single in my 20s. That’s like dorm living with a built in social circle.

Recalled HK has shared beds where 1 work in the day and sleep at night, and the other work in the night, sleep in the day.

When was that? 30 years ago?
