Friend making above 200k moved to liberty hill, TX from Philly thinking the same that he will save great amount of money and ended up buying 740k home with 2.7% property tax. Now he’s crying.

If people buy the same size home, then it would be a huge savings. People love to spend the same on a home and get a larger one. That’s not going to be less expensive.

His friend has probably bought a house with a large lot.

I have no idea of Philly property market. In 2019, I bought the Austin Primary with twice the square footage as ex-CU Primary at a quarter of the price.
