Speaking Of Cars, I Am Going To Cry

I’m sure they have the funds for a replacement. Usually not the type that is hurting for money driving exotic cars.

Oh well, I will just make do with my Acuras…

Again, you can never tell by the car itself. For all we know, it could be a rental, a velly velly expensive exotic one.

Yeah, you will stick to your Acuras…yeah NSX baby!!!

NSX is just like the Ford’s GT - ultra nice but not practical for most of us even for middle income family car enthusiast with any financial priority. It will be sitting in the garage except for a few times a year - can’t afford that.

I wouldn’t even able to park the NSX unless if was in-front of the shop I’m visiting… And I heard the tires need to change every 10K - still pay to play. But love the car though!

All high performance tires last only 10k-15k…Performance cars cost at lot to maintain…but the biggest expense is depreciation

When I was seriously considering a vintage NSX, the additional insurance cost to cover that didn’t make sense considering it would have been a weekend driver at best. Your classic garage queen. Keep in mind that I am a relatively old fart who has a clean driving record and I am getting all of the multiple insurance discounts, yet to insure a first generation NSX with the leanest mileage driving it was still over $2k here in SF. That is ridiculous. I was told it was due to how the car is classified and how because of the aluminum frame that if you totaled it it was pretty much a total loss. And we are talking SF, (not some suburb) where there are hordes of poor drivers and auto break-ins. I could have maybe used some of the newer carriers who charge by the mile driven. Oh well, next life…

If you live in SF the PC police will take your car away…They want you to walk…And better yet be homeless. .houses leave to much of a carbon foot print…Better be vegan too…No more chicken wings …lol

Not with the NSX… It holds its value pretty well, nope I still can’t afford it. A fun clean old school CRX is something my wife won’t mind me splurging - cheap, fun, don’t depreciate anymore…

Uh, I have one…1991 CRX Si in Black. Clean title. Orig engine with 185K? miles. Runs hella strong and gets 30 mpg highway. $20 bucks gets you a full tank. Yeah, I know…sweet. Unfortunately no airbags so I don’t drive this to my Fremont rental too often or Sweetie would kill me.

Last week some dude left a note asking if I wanted to sell it. Yeah, for a million bucks!!! He passed…

You brought another reason not to drive old cars…Tyey arent safe…They look cool and make you feel good…but modern cars perform better, require much less maintenance and are vastly safer. .and are way more fuel efficient. .50’s and 60’s cars were death macines…Four times the death rate on roads per mile than today…
