The article is good. Does not gloss over the difficulty and dangers of owning long distance like some on this forum. But one does not need to go far to get good returns.
Plenty of opportunities in California and surrounding states. Best to invest in an LLc with the master partner handling the onsite issues. Third party property management can be fraught with adversity and fraud.
