How is a 35 minute commute considered ‘super’ in any shape or form? That is rather standard.
Was surprised too. I used to travel 1.5 hrs one way, dropping wife and kids, and then go to office. About 45 mins (traffic) and 30 mins (min traffic) to office. When I arrived here, heard people travel 45 mins to 1.5 hrs to work.
Now, that, is a commute…

I’ve heard of ER nurses commuting from the midwest. Met one on a plane recently.
We have parttime nurses in Tahoe…Live in the BA in rent controlled apartments and can afford a house here… Work partime in both places…$90k year goes a long way in Tahoe…Gets a shared room in an SF apartment…Slum it in SF and live the high life here…
I know one nurse 3-4 times per week “commuting” from Las Vegas to Kaiser RWC (airplane Las Vegas - San Carlos)
One of my co-worker 10 yrs ago, we worked together for like 6 years, he was commuting from elk grove to palo alto everyday. crazy…
People in Tahoe think that be able to live next to work is a human right…truly laughable in the real world.
