@elt1 rubbing it in. Thought was excessively overvalued. Aggressive bulls refuse to admit it, said fundamentals support it which is not true. Generally share price moves from underpriced to ok priced to overpriced, occasionally to excessively overpriced like TSLA. Now could be underpriced but short-term fundamentals have changed - didn’t do any computations, market could be thinking it will be cash strap again, I don’t mean now, may be a few months later (guessing, need to do a computation to verify).
It is the ultimate trader stock, because it’s supporters are zealots. Can skyrocket up. But will always come back to earth. Be patient to buy. Be prepared to sell fast. I will wait for 180 again. Just like I am waiting for 14000 on the DOW for buying opportunities.
SPY is 21% below SMA200 and in year 2008-2009 SPY went down 55% below SMA200.
No computation, no back up data, but I started thinking about TSLA for a possible DCA when it crossed SMA200 below ! Just took 1 TSLA at $375 and next GTC at 1 TSLA at $325, keep accumulating DCA until it reaches 100 shares.
Whatever struggle TSLA has, my firm belief it will not file bankruptcy and will run nicely after this down turn is over.
If I leave this opportunity, I may likely leave it for ever as FOMO.
Wow you might have heard about this virus that has tanked all stocks, definitely automakers. To think that something fundamental has happened to TSLA valuation uniquely is hilarious.
Now you could certainly argue going forward that people won’t be buying expensive cars for a while given the economy. Seems a reasonable assumption that will affect Tesla for some time unless they can prove otherwise
