We will probably pickup a Y once Covid eases. Lots to like – the best efficiency in the industry, excellent safety tech (e.g. automatic emergency braking), great crash scores, good handling/performance and lower depreciation than any other brand. And the best part – fully paid for by appreciation of TSLA stock so effectively a ‘free car’ . We’re not commuting on a daily basis these days so I am forcing myself to wait and see how the Y does in crash tests and how they price the RWD.
So far so good for me. Only 1k miles. Instant torque and heavy car so it’s safe to me. Much better then a Lexus. Fun to drive long distance with the auto pilot
I agree, once you drive a full electric car - not a Prius , you can’t go back. No heat shifting , just so much fun to drive and Tesla is the leader of the pack
I get that Tesla is popular with the enthusiastic few. But that is less than 2% of drivers. Main stream is boring trucks and SUVs. Meanwhile there isn’t enough electricity to charge up the millions of predicted EVs
We now know that renewable energy also has its limits. Time to expand nuclear and natural gas plants
Y is awesome, much better drive than my friends X Lease from a few years ago
The average car 0-60 is 8 seconds. The most expensive Asian car ever built is the 2000 GT. 0-60 in 9 seconds
Speed isn’t everything
Is there Masssage seats in Tesla? how is body motion control? like person seating in back seat and drive around the sharp turns hilly area. I found Tesla not very luxurious for the price.
Waiting for opportunity…
Just test drive any EV, you will have an idea how EV cars are. Among them, topper is Tesla.
Trends starts in California and China. Just look around the valley, LA, Shanghai, etc. Teslas everywhere.
It is a step-change experience. If he actually figures out how to sell the truck watch out.
I have driven the S. The Y is too small for me. Fun to drive is only one criterion for me. My vehicles must be good in snow. Carry lots of crap. Have high ground clearance and be totally reliable like the Toyota’s I have… 4Runner that tows 7000lbs and the Highlander that hauls 7 people and drives like a sports car.
But is it really because of the car or all other things with come with that car?
Most people buy a Tesla because of its image and reputation. Not because there are no other good electric cars.
Which are the good EV cars you are referring to? All competitors are trailing behind tesla on performance and nearest is Chevy bolt and not any others.
Reputation comes with performance, like apple iphone, quality can not be compromised.
If want to buy EV, should buy Tesla, no debate there Ofc, until Apple car comes out
Bold high-lighted Means you are not going to buy EV car !
Colas explained that Tesla’s profitability has mostly been derived from the sale of Automotive Regulatory Credits, which is the sale of credits to other automakers who are not in compliance with state or federal requirements for zero emission vehicle sales.
Tesla is essentially a busted growth story
Johnson has an $87 price target on the stock by the end of next year.
Did he short?
