This is a RE forum. You hijacked it touting Tesla for years. You failed for four years. In fact in June 2019 Tesla almost went BK and Bitcoin dipped to $3k. You got lucky. Enjoy. But the idea that Tesla is worth more than the rest of the car companies combined is insane. At least sell a few shares buy a Tesla and give us a report.
This is what I enjoy. Just picked up 50 cases of empty bottles from a friend’s winery. Will be bottling my estate grown merlot and Rosé soon.

Reminds me how Intel changed its logo years ago in similar ways, to make it round cornered, lower case and more “hip”. Didn’t quite work out as well as hoped…
I recalled some1 said something like this few years ago. Can’t remember what Elon said to counter it. I guess he prefers to get on the market earlier to gather driving data and get $. Once he has money, he can switch later. And he would be ahead of everyone in driving data.

Always remember tire size as electric vehicles much more heavy for same size. we have to see which tire manufacturer benefit for all those heavy electric trucks coming up.
Because humans use vision to drive. We don’t have lasers emitting out of our body to detect obstacles.
why not combine both vision and lidar?
Because you don’t need an instructor sitting next to you anymore after you already learned how to drive.
if that’s the case then we don’t need blind spot monitor, rear view camera etc. For sure camera is better than just LiDar but having both, LIDAR would complement the cameras especially for people living in snowy or foggy conditions. Now with Lidar costs coming down and since there’s life involved why not have extra safety?
When Elon started TSLA, there were lot of resistance, skeptics and lot of lobbyist (esp auto and oil industry) trying every possible way to stop/block his progress.
Elon made everything custom - on his own - instead of depending on other technologies, that is mainly for his key components, battery, charging, AI and software. Now, he is able to withstand all these issues and survive successfully.

It’s a winner-take-all game. Elon will make sure that tesla FSD be far superior and those companies using lidar won’t see any light at the end of the tunnel. In the end, Tesla will win it all.
