Tesla’s trillion dollar valuation is fast approaching

Should’ve held on to my 3. It would be an appreciating asset!

All cars are appreciating. My 2006 4 runner bottomed out in 2019 at $6k
Now worth $15k.

Tesla service are horrible, couple my friend got issue with their car and have a difficult time getting it fix.

Yes, plenty of issues from plenty of people. Lucky for me, I had a good experience with them.

It was just too small and plastic-y for me.

Yeah, it’s plain and look way more uglier than my prius. Every single model look pretty much the same and white. It’s becoming like a taxi.

Not all white. Got black :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth: and red :face_with_peeking_eye: Millennials love these nuances.

Model 3
Taller = Y
Wider = S
Taller and wider = X, guessing haven’t seen one

No X’s in your suburb? Come on.

May be they are just too similar :slight_smile:

All of them looks pretty much the same and plain same color, interior is cheap as hell. If they’re reliable and good service, i could buy one for daily driver. But given the stuff i hear from ppl bought it. I’ll pass. many of my friend regretted buying the hype.

.

Not as reliable as ICE for sure. Haven’t been inside a TSLA so don’t know about the quality of the interior… I hope is not Toyota quality, I expect Lexus quality. From videos and pictures, kind of look silly with a large iPad (look like) on the dashboard.

I would say worse than toyota quality(if compare with the ones with leather interior).
I might just buy a old bimmer for spare until new car inventory/prices back to normal. Next few years will have a lot of new electric model out too

Hilarious to hear people complain about Tesla quality. As if other brands don’t have plastic anywhere in their cars :roll_eyes:

Reliability in Tesla’s drivertrain is superior to other EVs. Sure you may have some superificial issues, but you don’t have massive recalls due to fire risk (ahem Bolt) or car that will just stop working while driving (ahem Mach-E). I mean both of those competitors have had to issue recalls on basically all of their vehicles!

Tesla has terrible service. No inventory of parts and no mechanics to work on them. If they break down or are in a wreck, it takes months to fix them. They are throw away vehicles. Not exactly environmentally friendly.

Eventually, TSLA would need the dealer network. Is a new toilet so can afford to provide subpar service. A dealer network would reduce gross and operating margin to that of traditional car manufacturers. To counter that, need FSD and other software services. So long Elon is the marketing face, can still invest in TSLA. I have sold other stocks at a loss to buy more TSLA… hopefully is the right decision… according to gurus, in a bear market, reduce your portfolio to have highest conviction stocks i.e. to as few companies as possible.

You have never worked at a startup before? You learn as you go. I had not written a single line of code when I started my first programming job :slight_smile:

I heard a rumor that coming few quarters for TSLA is bad… reduce operating margin, reduce delivery, higher cost of manufacturing… nothing to do with Shanghai factory, Fremont factory is not performing.

I don’t see any evidence of any of that other than higher cost of manufacturing which is guaranteed.

However they are able to keep raising prices (just did again 2 days ago) so I would think profit margins will be good.

However Q2 will definitely underperform because Shanghai was shutudown for a while. Also Bitcoin plunged and they will have lower EPS because of that.

OMG, should I cash out of all my Tsla shares? I’m running scared :scream:
