Wow, if this passes, I think I can put in an ADU in my backyard and make that my US foothold. Why buy a small condo and pay HOA and property taxes, etc??? My neighbor probably won’t like it but heck it is that supervisor who made Great Highway a park who is proposing this. Hope it passes!!! I don’t see why not, 2 other Bay Area cities have already passed similiar laws.
How does this work? Need to change the entire building to condos and get a separate parcel number for the ADU before you can sell it? Need to set up a condo HOA agreement and record it?
