You missed out this part:
Mayor London Breed said in a news release that on calls that don’t involve a threat to public safety, police would be replaced by trained, unarmed professionals to limit unnecessary confrontation between the police department and the community.
You better pray that the bums will become more docile. My social worker friend is freaking out.
I’ve driven that hwy - from San Antonio to Austin, I saw maybe like 2 cars the whole way, pretty sweet drive.
There’s not a tax we don’t like.
How about a tax on overpaid supervisors
This whole targeting specific people with taxes is BS. The same people pushing for it claim to be for equality for everyone. Equality should include tax law where everyone pays the same percent.
That’s not only a 9-year seasonal high but a new 9-year high in the absolute and 50 percent more inventory than at the same time last year, a marked jump which shouldn’t catch any plugged-in readers by surprise and despite the fact that inventory levels typically don’t peak until October.
@manch Where are all those highly paid young folks from the overhyped startups? They don’t want to buy or rent in SF?
my friend is looking for a rental in SF right now, he said for a couple weeks things had slowed down and supply > demand. This week he said that changed all of a sudden and now there are more people looking…
This condo got listed with 2015 price, would be interesting to see. Location is quite convenient: https://www.redfin.com/CA/San-Francisco/260-King-St-94107/unit-903/home/22889838#property-history
920$ in HOA dues every month?
I lived near there.
That has been the prevailing price points in that complex for many quarters - see 6 other listings in that building. SOMA condos havent seen a huge increase past few years except new constructions, but that particular building has been notorioisly lagging. Some units are facing caltrain tracks, and last I heard, HOA was in litigation with the builder (over lack of AC or something silly).

There’s so much work to be done…
Time for another earthquake and fire

@manch How’s SF market? Any potential deal area we should look out for?
I am not super tuned in nowadays on the SF market. Regulation risks are too high for landlords in the city. One thing I noticed is there have been a lot of price cuts, but that doesn’t mean anything where the final price will land as most will still go above listing. My overall impression is that prices have been steady and flat for the last two years, same as the 101-corridor from SF to SJ. Haven’t seen any transactions that have me go WOW.
I am most interested to see where the SOMA condos and townhouses will go. We are near peak pessimism on urban areas, and nowhere is as urban as that stretch of SF in the Bay.
