This is guess. SEC will soon come with max shorting a stock limit. Now, GME shorted more than 144% is an issue.
This will introduce credit default…etc instability in market, lenders…banks…etc

I recall there are restrictions of aggregate size of calls, but from what I read casually, don’t seem to have any restrictions.

I have been following AMC since Mar 23rd onwards, try to buy at low. AMC was attractive by its book value than current price.
Many times I discussed AMC.
I was buying AMC ever since I posted about AMC here. In fact, I had 5000 shares bought avg price $2.11 and did not even notice it was highly shorted, holding it sold maximum between $3 and $4.5, kept very small amount hold for long, but sold today when I saw $17.
This was nothing to do with that reddit shorting issues. It was accidental.
For that matter, I also hold BGS for its dividend return and the value shot up today, not selling.
BTW: Market started tanking, Next 3-10 days everything will be set right.

If GME goes down below $2.25, then is the issue !

Sold or keeping it?
Sold 25% and put everything in FUBO pre-market. Now, that one is up 20%. I’ll probably see if AMC can hit 5 year high ($36?) but I have a short trigger now. Market is very fragile.

Movie theaters are dead. Big screen TVs are killing them . Covid19 was the coup de gras. This is just a scam rally. Take all your profit a run. I haven’t been to a movie in ten years. Who goes to movies… $15 plus overpriced popcorn, sticky seats and disease. Fugetaboutit
You are right when we see $20 or $17, but I bought AMC at $2 when book value (real estate of AMC) is higher than market price !!!

I did the wrong thing. Sold MRNA and some other stocks, follow Cathie and bought REGN. Next few months if REGN doesn’t go up, I will start cursing 
her! Watch my post on Cathie. Anyhoo, I double down on my blood, BTO L22 REGN calls.

i sold my MRNA yesterday, super annoyed at myself. Also annoyed I got busy at work and didn’t play the GME/AMC/NOK thing. ah well.

Sold all option positions. Looks like brokerages are going to restrict option purchases. Holding some equity but a nice run nonetheless. Didn’t even break 7 figure.

I double annoyed with myself. Sold MRNA. Didn’t follow @Jil into AMC - he said that a few times. I did follow him into MRNA and sold earlier, worse follow Cathie - thought she is a superstar. IMD.

I bought MRNA at 112. I think it is a buy and hold stock.

IMO, MRNA will easily reach between $200 and $225 before Dec 31, 2021 and have long term growth prospects for next 5 to 10 years.
I have equally well positioned with BNTX which is also similar technology company.
Both are my buy and hold stock !

When you said yesterday, you sold MRNA, I was laughing at you, but I told sarcastically told you “Feel free to sell, it is your money and your profit” meaning you are going to loose all gains in your profit.
It does not mean MRNA and BNTX is going to go UP and UP, but will correct at some time later. I will take some protective covered call at that time (if I know ahead).
However, these two stocks can be held like your AAPL or WQJ TSLA. I hinted way back when MRNA was $88, remember !
Second, Even now GME has calculated opportunity => $5 GME at $2.75 (PUT (GME) GAMESTOP CORPORATION JAN 20 23 $5 (100 SHS)).
Your $500 locked and you will get $275 as sell to open put. If GME corrects below $2.25 (like bankrupt), we lose, otherwise it is a win.
I just took some chance, but I do not know the consequences. Is it good?
Oh yeah, I bought GME put 3 months out several days ago. It’s up 3x.
