We did get rid of Al Qaeda and that SOB bin Laden. But we should have left years ago after Mission Accomplished. We have dragged on for far too long. Afghanistan still belongs to the Middle Ages. We can’t bomb a country into civilization. Once we have done what we need to do, leave. Nation building doesn’t work when their president fled to foreign country at the first sight of trouble and troops handed over their weapons instead of fight.

When the locals won’t fight we shouldn’t do their fighting for them. Great empires never used their own troops, like the Romans and the Brits. The British went into Afghanistan with Gurkha troops and lost. The Soviets not only lost in Afghanistan they lost their empire as well. We got Bin Laden in Pakistan . We never should have gone into Afghanistan.

Bin Laden fled to Pakistan because we smoked him out of Afghanistan. If we haven’t had troops on the ground there that SOB would still be ordering killing of Americans.

If we go on wild goose chases after everyone that wants to kill Americans we will burn ourselves out. We are as dumb as Sonny on the Godfather getting ambushed at the toll both. We need a Machiavellian President not a cowboy like Bush. We need a Mousad like policy not troops on the ground for 20 years in a country that hates us. We need to dominate the world with our music movies and culture. Not by killing everyone that hates us.
