How can Uber drivers strike given the fact that anyone can be a Uber driver?

Maybe I should open an account and just drive on that day to have all the customers to myself.

Striking is good :grinning:

Is it illegal to strike in Singapore?

Of course is legal

Don’t do it for Slave wage.

Leave those pennies for peons like me.

I knew an Uber driver. He could drive all day and only make $125.

At lot more money in construction. Min wage $25/hr for laborers. Most are getting $50/hr. Takes being fit though.

Many senior citizens drive Uber. They are not good for construction jobs.

Or in the pre-Uber days, zilch.

Maan… sketchy

CEO Dara Khosrowshahi was offered a steep incentive to keep Uber’s valuation up once it goes public, according to a recent report from The New York Times. Sources told the Times that if Uber’s valuation remains above $120 billion for 90 consecutive days, Khosrowshahi will gain net stock bonuses topping $100 million.

Ride sharing decreases car ownership but increases hrs spent on the roads per car because instead of parking somewhere the cars are on the roads looking for passengers :grinning:

Saw a report saying Uber partners with some other company to sell snacks and drinks in the cars? That’s yet another revenue stream. I think we are just at the very beginning of different business models, many not dreamed up by entrepreneurs yet.

It’s Cargo. They have a booth inside Uber’s driver support office.
