Keep in mind I am the one who wants to perhaps live back there remember? She loves it here in the US. Says the weather back there is too hot for her. It sounds like it has gotten expensive in Malaysia so maybe not as good as a deal as before. Oh well, we suffer in the Bay Area…

Yes, which is why I need to go back there and experience it for a spell. I may hate it, but again you are talking about someone who is first generation yet loves the world of Chinatown for example. I love the clothes out of the windows. The interesting smells. Sure, a tad cleaner would be nice but I am in my element when I am in Chinatown. I would simply adapt to it and be fine. Remember, as long as you have some money you can make any place livable.
