It’s on a auction site now.
Easy: no garage.
When we were selling our childhood home in outskirts of Chinatown the big wart was no garage. Despite Uber, Lyft and robot cars people still want the freedom of owning their own cars and being able to park them at home. Now that we have less parking at the corners there will be even fewer parking spaces to go around.
Thanks for your insights, @sfdragonboy
Does that mean homes without garages won’t sell in SF? Is that true for Noe valley homes too?
Hi, I am in Malaysia at the moment…
Well, of course, everything priced right will sell even in SF. We finally sold our place once rates were slightly more favorable early this year than last.
Having access to Uber/Lyft/Waymo/etc may be ok for commuting to say downtown for work but let’s be honest anyone buying a home, an expensive one at that, will probably have a car. So, garage parking is preferred to protect your precious ride and/oir decent street parking must be available.
I don’t know Noe Valley well enough to know about the availability of street parking a property does not offer it already.
Good luck!
Thanks so much! Enjoy Malaysia!!
