Just like people support safe injection sites or homeless shelters. They’ll vote for them. Once it’s time to build them, then they’ll fight like mad to keep them from being built in their neighborhood.
I think we should use a simple standard: if this is something you would personally love to do, vote for it. Otherwise, vote against it or do not vote on it.
Many times we become purely evil when we were thinking we were doing something noble by forcing something upon other people. We became mobs in the name of being kind and at the same time being manipulated like a puppy by highly skilled politicians.
If you support women’s abortion right you must get an abortion yourself? What kind of logic is that?
A better analogy is that you support other people’s wife to have an abortion, but banned your wife from performing an abortion.
An unreal person is not trustworthy
Some people encourage others to take homeless people to home while refusing to do so themselves. Some naive women listened and took homeless people home or feed homeless people and then got raped.
This is called manipulation
When liberals run the city and criminal justice reform is a priority in the name of equality…
Sad.
Is the eastside (bellevue, kirkland, etc) somewhat better for crime rates? Last I visited, Bellevue is close enough to Seattle, yet quality of life is much higher. And the traffic is still nothing compared to say Oakland to SF which is about the same distance.
Anywhere east is better. Kirkland, Redmond, Bellevue, Sammamish, and Issaquah are all nice. It depends if you want more of a city vibe with a downtown or more land. North is better until you get close to Everett. Where I live, I literally never see a homeless person and never lock the front door.

Seattle is experimenting with a $15 minimum wage — here are the results so far
So they are calling it a success even though they admit hours were reduced so it didn’t increase take home pay. How is that a success? I don’t get why there’s not more focus on how to qualify those people for the higher paying jobs that are available in the area.
This has income data for more cities.
So, no more mom & pop rentals in Democrat-controlled cities and state?
You aren’t thinking about the end game. The goal is to end private land/home ownership in the name of equality and fairness. The mayor of NYC admitted as much. He would prefer the city own all property and decide who gets to live where and how much their rent is.
In many countries, government owns all land. private citizen lease land from government for certain period. Actually, paying property tax on land is a roundabout way of paying rents to the government. Seems like it is already there. I remember a ballot measure a few years ago in North Dakota or some other state end the property tax. Do not remember what happened to it.
Yeah… And they tend to own the people too. Glad we don’t live there.
This is hysterical. The major plan is to require citizens to shovel their sidewalk and fine them if they don’t. Other than that, the city has zero new plans when snow shuts down the city. Maybe next people will be required to shovel the road in front if their house.
Maybe that’s how SF could solve the feces problem. Just require business owners and home owners to keep their sidewalk clean, and fine them if they don’t.
Why don’t businesses hose down the homeless everynight. That’s how they do it in Italy.
