“the bill would make sure that holders of U.S. master’s degrees or higher, foreign Ph.D.’s and U.S. STEM bachelor degrees are prioritized in the lottery process.”
That makes complete sense. There aren’t enough US citizen STEM graduates. Plus, that’ll avoid the immigration that’ll compete against Americans for lower wage jobs. It’s honestly embarrassing for democrats that none of them will co-sponsor it.
It is about time that immigrants realize that Democrats are not to be trusted… They use the race card to divide people and to marginalize conservative values. But all they want is political power and more Democrats.
One party tries to grow the government as much and as fast as possible. The other wants to reduce the size of government (except the military). I really wish republicans would have the same approach to defense spending as they do other government spending.
Expand the eligibility of spouses of H-1B holders, who come to the U.S. on H-4 visas, to work in the U.S. Currently, only spouses who meet specific requirements can work in the U.S. The Trump administration has plans to do away with those work permits.
I like your thread title, H-1B Folks Might Learn To Love A Republican… not the one in the Oval Office, never.
Fake news. Obama created a rule that only congress should be able to create. There’s a lawsuit to undo the Obama rule, since he didn’t have the right to create it. Trump is opting to not fight the legal battle, since it’s a losing position.
Obama did a few of those on his way out the door. Nothing like overstepping your authority, creating a legal battle, then walking away to let the next guy deal with it. It allows for creation of some AMAZING and misleading headlines. It’s similar to the dreamer issue.
