@mcp What’s happening with CLOV? Earnings seemed to be good but stock didn’t move AH?

Lol yes. I have to wait. They are growing good. do you hold any?

400 shares. Not a big roller like you.

Me big roller? No way! Tiny ant learning slowly :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I like to read about people reflecting on their mistakes. That’s the only way to get better. Here’s a fund manager dissecting his thought process on selling Google.

Framework is personal. Ignore that.

COIN earnings. Down 10%+ :grimacing:

is it good or bad?

Bad. It was sort of expected due to slowdown in crypto over the summer but it was definitely lower. I’m still bullish. I’ll buy more under 300 if it ever gets there. I expected a rollercoaster and I guess it will coast with the crypto market.

Why buy COIN when you can buy the real coins? Honest question. It seems to me buying the stuff directly is more obvious to capture the upside? Fewer moving parts to worry about. What am I missing?

may be more like ETF, for risk averse ppl since COIN holds many coins?

I still hold far more crypto than COIN but it’s generally to diversify with new crypto economy. It’s entirely possible COIN may have a better return next 5 years than blue chip crypto. Having said that, it’s going to be a wild ride with COIN.

If trading coins is still their main business, I don’t really see how COIN will have a better return. The blue chip coins dominate their trading volume. BTW their fees are outrageously high! For me their alpha is in new business like NFT marketplace but that needs time to flesh out.

Great runaway no doubt. But less obvious to me than the real coins.

Still higher than my last FOMO price.

I dumped half of CLOV before earning and dumped the rest after earning. The growth story is too slow and it doesn’t have the meme effect anymore. Time to exit with a puny 4% gain but I’ll probably come back later.

Don’t spend too much time on your W2 job.

Agree with @manch that puru has no convictions of any businesses and stocks. At least this Peng guy has conviction.

Easy to say, but many of us have to do our W2 jobs to pay our bills. Investing does not pay the bills, at least not in the short term
