Looking at the current Vision Pro, has an idea what the future of computing is like.
As the size shrinks, becomes lighter, cheaper… it will first replace the desktop computer, then laptop, then handheld,… The race is on… AAPL META MSFT GOOG AMZN + Chinese & Indian computing manufacturers… I am surprise that many commentators view Vision Pro as a final product and worse an accessory… should be viewed as a WIP spatial computing platform.
Future possibility…
Immediate implication… current form might already be able to replace desktop… some use cases.
Some YouTubers think the fact that Tim Cook and his top lieutenants didn’t wear Vision Pro is a serious marketing mis-step. Also the overall story-telling is nowhere near Apple standard (guess they are comparing to Steve Jobs). Essentially, the negative comments are directed to the delivery of the marketing message… not about technological advances and strategic direction of future computing. Guess if Tom Cruise or Taylor Swift is on stage would have sealed the message. Or a more impressive demo by Disney… feel like a 2D “Keynote” presentation… I was expecting a short demo of a person wearing it.
IMHO, is inherently difficult to communicate the usefulness/ use cases of a 3D computing platform in a 2D format. One has to be there to wear the Vision Pro for a 30-mins demo to appreciate. So far, those who give negative comments are not there or are there but didn’t get a chance to experience the 30-mins demo.
AAPL closed ATH. However, should be wave iv.(b), expect a dive 2mrw to complete wave iv.(c) before starting the bullish impulse wave 1.v.
