Why on earth are you so obsessed with iPhone SE then and keep saying it’ll take 9 years for AVP to reach mainstream adoption? The chart shows mainstream adoption was clearly well before the iPhone SE. Do I really need to explain this? If you still don’t get it, you never will.
Because AVP costs $4000 a piece and thus a major obstacle to wide adoption. So I look at the history of iPhone development to see when Apple was able to make a cheaper version of iPhone. Based on that history a cheap version of AVP will take many years of development.
Should I explain in easier terms still?
Dreaming aloud: If I am young, I would startup three companies: Social networking with spatial computing moments, text2spatial computing and short-forms videos in spatial computing format.
Social networking with spatial computing moments
Could be a surprised killer app/feature. Same example.
Text2spatial computing
e.g.
Yourself
Short-form video in spatial computing format
Challenging Tiktok, Instagram Reels and short duration YouTube.
Touch ID Recalled even Trump wants his Touch ID iPhone back. AFAIK, he is not a budget conscious consumer.
For people who don’t need prescription glasses or are wearing contact glasses, do they prefer to talk to an iPhone or talk to a ghost as for Ray Ban meta smart glasses and AI pin for similar functionality?
The AI needs to see what the user is seeing to provide maximum utility. Therefore it makes sense to have a front facing camera on all the time. Your iPhone is in your pocket most of the time, so it’s “blind” most of the time. Makes more sense for smart glasses and AI pins.
I see you prefer to talk to ghosts every second instead of talking to an iPhone when you really need to find out what you’re looking at.
From the movie Her. The AI lives in that phone like thing in his shirt pocket. Notice the camera is facing out so the AI is walking together with him and seeing the same thing he’s seeing.
Makes more sense to just embed it in his glasses.

which is far better using two f… devices.
What? An Apple fanboy forgot that an iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro Max can capture spatial computing video? However,
Nevertheless, you should start capturing spatial computing video if you’ve 15 Pro/Pro Max even if you don’t plan to buy the Vision Pro ATM.
Steve Ballmer’s view of the first iPhone…
$500… is the most expensive phone in the world… doesn’t appeal to business customers.

Price of a very large display…
…
Can’t afford it? No need to give sophisticated reason. Just return it after reviewing it, is ok.
…
Want to review but Apple doesn’t provide a free computer for review, nice workaround. Just remember to return it within 14 days for a full refund.
cheapskate
There is a huge difference between a $500 cell phone, and everybody had a cell phone even in 2007. Versus a $4,000 VR goggle, a device practically nobody has today, and don’t know why they need one.
Not everyone is rich like you.
Poor people like us may actually buy Zuck’s goggle to see what the VR hype is about. Can’t afford the AVP so buy one close enough for 1/7 the cost.
Zuck is astroturfing again.
Attitude of a reviewer…

cheapskate want young, good looking and big.
Apple presentation has already highlighted a few use cases… if those don’t appeal to you… no need to buy and try… already know the price yet buy and try then say expensive? Wtf. Can I have trial marriage, if feel spouse is high maintenance then cancel marriage?
Re-post the interview of Creator of Oculus, Palmer Luckey. He opined that for true early adopters, price doesn’t matter, would buy at $3500, would buy at $5000…
All the talks about Apple Vision Pro, people have forgotten about the rumor that Apple is working on an Apple Glass (supposedly focussed on AR), instead on focussing on VR. Apple Glass is supposedly to be of the same format as what we are currently wearing as glasses. Wondering whether Apple Glass is like a standalone insight camera or incorporated into the glasses.
I forgot about this rumor too. Now that I remember, I realize reviewers are wishing for Apple glass.
Reddit user reported AVP cracked all by itself and Apple is charging him money for repair. And the auto-cracking has happened to multiple people already. Barely 2 weeks in.
