Goggles are crap only for the gaming crowd.
Just what we donāt needā¦ More reasons to sit in your room staring into nothingness.
AFAIK, most of us prefer to work/play on a computer alone. Office work, personal affairs, gamingā¦ doesnāt matter. I donāt see the difference.
Do people still watch TV or watch in a big group? When I was young and poor, I watch in a group, canāt afford more than one.
Gaming has produced a generation of lazy fat slobs that canāt relate to people or the real world.
I just evicted a tenant whose son was basically a prisoner. Thirty year old idiot. Never left his room. Sat in front of a video screen all the time. 300lbs. 6ā8ā ā¦ we called him Sasquatch. He is in incapable of taking care of himself. A total prisoner to his screen. Lived in filth.
His mother/roomate should be arrested for retroactive child abuse for enabling his pathetic lifeā¦ he will never be able to be free from her
AI strategyā¦ suspect Tim Cook is forced to talk about AI strategy during WWDC Junā 2024. So many orifices are asking for it and as long as TC doesnāt want to talk about it, they would throw darts, sh?t and spread FUDs.
Nowadays, we believe whatever poop by mainstream media, social media and influential personalities as realities And draw deductions from them. Anyhoo, below is one such Youtubeā¦
Itās hard for car companies to make money. So much competition regulations high labor costs liability.
So Musk came up with a whole slew of horseshit.
His car company is aā technologyācompany not a car company
FSD was a total lie. Save the environment basically greenwashing.
He has tried every trick to convince people to overpay for a very limited productā¦ people are starting to smell the horseshit.

Kuo reveals Apple intends to purchase between 2,000 and 3,000 AI servers in 2023, and possibly between 18,000 and 20,000 servers in 2024.
The lower spending in 2023 than 2024 is down to a shortage of Nvidia AI chips, as well as Apple āplacing its orders later than other major customers.ā
Thatās what I have in mindā¦ merely get evidence. When some1 show me a chart on shipments of H100s, my comments areā¦
Is amazingly some1 who pride himself of being very good in maths, canāt figure out correctly what a chart said and didnāt say
2,000 AI servers is good for what? A tiny company may be 1,000th of Appleās size? Donāt do this binary thinking of whether Apple bought any. Of course it bought some. After all last year it was still wasting time and resources on its doomed self driving car project.
If 2,000 is enough Apple wouldnāt want to buy 20,000 more. Iād argue even 20K is not enough.
My whole point is that Apple is years later than competition. And all the data shows I have been right.
Tag: Apple leadership is unaware of gen AI and have not been working on it. Mar 2, 2024.
Wonāt age well.
Binary thinking again? Apple may be āawareā in the sense its engineers know there is such a thing, but Apple upper management certainly didnāt think itās urgent enough to warrant high investment until chatGPT started the whole AI craze.
Remember the excuses the Apple cult gave why Apple didnāt buy Nvidia chips?
Oh, Apple has some super duper in house chips and donāt need to pay Nvidia? Or Appleās AI models are so efficient they donāt need that much GPU compute? How about this: all inference will be done locally on Appleās own silicon so Nvidia chips are only for suckers. Apple is unique. Apple is efficient, unlike other companies like Meta and Microsoft.
Turns out none of these is correct. Apple didnāt buy many because it was late to the market and all Nvidia chip supplies were already locked up, by people with more vision like Zuck and Satya.
.
What excuses? I thought you make those up.
Yes, above examples are what you like to make up. And then conclude using those make-ups.
Youāve not changed.
Still make these kind of foolish comments. SMH. They are not in the same (cloud computing/ AdTech) business. How many times must I say so. Elon Musk supposedly co-founded OpenAI and need lots of H100s for his FSD but he only gets 15k, so he is late to the market and is not as visionary as market thinks so?
Assumption. Off the cuff, I can already think of another assumption: I recall when ChatGPT is out, Tim Cook said to be careful. He could be referring to potential offensive remarks, Gemini woke incidents, etc. In other words, Apple has been working on Gen AI and aware of its shortcomings so is going about it with great care not unlike some dubious companies (yes, referring to those that bought lots of H100s) who for monies do all kind of unscrupulous activities.
My advice is donāt make outrageous remarks based on insufficient info. Sound foolish. Yes, above assumption is some outrageous remarks I made, just to show you how easy to come out with these kind of remarks.
Tech industry: I notice people like Zuck like to do malicious things like astroturfing and locked up talents/resources ie donāt need them but hire them so others canāt have access to them. This creates an artificial high demand of SWEs. Recall I said many times, META single handedly drive up salary of SWEs and the house prices in SV? When times are bad, he coughed back all these extra SWEs and the market celebrates him. Given past behavior, I speculate that he has likely do similar to the supply of H100s. Well, if you like to worship such personalities, I have to just
Thinking aloud: Assuming by media, which some1 takes it as reality, is true. That is, Apple did close down the Special Project Group and transfer most staff to AI Group to focus on Gen AI. Usually skills of one group are not entirely relevant to another group, we can dream of a few possibilities of what could have happened:
The picture would be clearer as tidbits stream out of Apple Campus from time to timeā¦
Unlikely to stop Apple from its illegal behavior. Try $20B fines instead.
Apple has been hit with a fine of ā¬1.84 billion (about $2 billion) by European Union antitrust regulators over its App Store rules, and has been told it cannot stop music services from advertising cheaper subscription deals outside of Appleās store. News of todayās fine was earlier reported by the Financial Times, and comes ahead of Appleās huge shakeup of the iPhoneās app distribution rules due to the EUās Digital Markets Act.
