Refer to the YouTube. He does macro + EWT and has an investment timeframe of 1-3 years. That is what I use to do: study macro + EWT, now forgot how to analyze economics conditions and how to do FA.

As expected AAPL beats earning, but stocks will be down. This is market makers behavior of surprising retail investors !

Down AH doesn’t mean market hours will be down. Quite often market open up.
Even if market doesn’t open up, and continue down for a few days/ weeks, it will slowly climb back up.
Ofc, AAPL can’t fight the broad market, if the broad market goes down, AAPL will go down because it is in QQQ, S&P and many ETFs, when traders short those, AAPL will be dragged down.

@manch

Did Mark and Tim have previous bad blood? They don’t seem to like each other. Anyhoo, Apple’s DNA is they doesn’t like to do ads (SJ knew ads very well but refuse to capitalize on ads, TC is following SJ line). Apple prefers to sell to customers who appreciate their products and pay for them rather than free stuffs supported by ads.

Down AH doesn’t mean market hours will be down. Quite often market open up => Correct

Even if market doesn’t open up, and continue down for a few days/ weeks, it will slowly climb back up. => Correct, this will happen after market (and AAPL) reaches a potential bottom. This is nothing new and is common to JPM,GS, AAPL, MSFT…etc.

AAPL can’t fight the broad market, if the broad market goes down, AAPL will go down because it is in QQQ, S&P and many ETFs, when traders short those, AAPL will be dragged down. ==> 100% Right.

People expect beating expectation automatically makes the stocks to go up, but it is not the case.

An electric Apple car would rival vehicles from Tesla Inc. and companies such as upstart Lucid Motors and China’s Nio Inc., as well as established manufacturers like Daimler AG and Volkswagen AG. Setting up a car plant can cost billions of dollars and take years, likely the reason why Apple is talking to potential partners.

I presume the partner decision is made long ago since the day TC said no longer need to hold that much cash and plan to go zero (forgot the right one).

The iPhone maker plans to set up production with Kia and build Apple cars at the automaker’s facility in Georgia, U.S.

@manch

You need to go there to exploit possible RE investment opportunity.

@Jil

I am pretty sure, if the car is launched, there is a feature that TSLA and other EV manufacturers don’t have. If this is not the case, I would eat straw in front of you.

By that time, based on your own prediction TSLA doubles next year, TSLA market cap exceeds AAPL market cap !

KIA is a bad name. Killed in action. Apple should choose another partner or tell KIA to change its name.

Kia has global plants and global foot print. that is going much further than Japanese and US.
It will be fight between Korea and Europe.

Simple just rename KIA applecar

This will definitely happen as Hyundai-Kia is struggling, dur to Covid, financially and divesting US assets to keep the company running.

Apple can get the deal at throw away price to start its EV cars. This is the fastest way they can roll out EV CARs soon. Kona-EV is good, but expensive than Tesla and battery is not that great.

Apple has to find good battery technology and long miles/charge to challenge Tesla. It is not an easy task, but doable with Apple money power.

No need. As expected, is not competing head-on with TSLA. Suicide to compete with TSLA directly. When SJ came back, he didn’t directly compete with WinTel instead he launched ice candy iMac, then iPod, then iPhone, then iPad… TC launched Apple Watches and AirPods, and finally M1 MBP direct assault. So it would be a long time before Apple competes with TSLA.

“The first Apple Cars will not be designed to have a driver,” said one source with knowledge of the current plan. “These will be autonomous, electric vehicles designed to operate without a driver and focused on the last mile.” That could mean Apple cars, at least initially, could focus on package food delivery operations and firms incorporating robotaxis.

Sure you’re an inter-school chess champion? Your style is direct assault at the center?
