Now that @manch makes lots of money from the stocks and crypto, time for him to upgrade his MBP…
Ordered Macbook pro with some upgrades. MagSafe alone is worth $3000+.
Starting and building up semiconductor expertise was one of the best decisions Steve Jobs ever made at Apple. I don’t think Tim Cook could have done it. He’s still getting nowhere building a car.
Apple has the best Marketing. Apple doesn’t focuses on product specs. They focus and spins on what customer wants.
Then on the M1, they come out crazy numbers. And consumer don’t question or doubt these numbers.
- M1 Pro/Max CPU is 70% faster than M1. The graph shows 170 (Pro/Max) vs 100 (M1), relative performance, whatever the means.
- Their GPU claim is even more outrageous: “M1 Pro is up to 2x faster than M1, while M1 Max is up to an astonishing 4x faster than M1”.
It has an apple logo on it. It’s a status symbol.

Gotta make up some rev lost to Epic games lawsuit
Need to buy one for going outside to clean my iPhone, Apple Watch and my glasses. At home, I have plenty of chamois.
Haha, $19 for a cleaning cloth. Knowing Apple, the product is probably over engineered and high quality. It is not cheap throwaway item that cost cents. Probably cost Apple several several $ to make. Still good margin.
Why did Apple insist on building an EV?

Who is running the AppStore?
I guess anything is possible with rumors. But early 2022 is not very typical for any product launch schedule. Apple typically launches
- Fall for holiday (September/October): For iPhone/Watch. Sometimes MacBook, iMac, and iPads
- Spring for school (Apr/May): Sometimes MacBook, iMac, and iPads
Apple car - a story which never ends!
Didn’t realize AAPL is a nearly 4000 bagger! I need to find one more AAPL…
Author is comparing IPO till today. Not meant to have the same start dates.
Did Elon Musk get wind of this? Elon is a coward to sell TSLA shares.
Tim Apple is hopeless. He’s looking for shortcuts and suckers partners to do the hard manufacturing work for him and he will just swoop in and get all the profit. Like what he does with Foxconn. Well nobody is that dumb anymore.
That’s the difference between a founder and a hired manager.
