AAPL vs GOOG

Many twitters choose GOOG because of YouTube. YouTube is so useful that it becomes a critical apps for individuals. And no substitutes? Apple needs to consider putting up a YouTube like service.

Assuming Apple users choose Apple, Google users choose Google, it means most Windows users choose Apple.

Forgot about this thread

So far AAPL outperforms GOOG post-IPO and since return of SJ in 2007 in terms of CAGR.

In a 5-year period, GOOG has higher CAGR for eps yet share price didn’t outperform AAPL. Didn’t check but my guess is GOOG has higher SBC leading to diluting of share ownership.

That should be accounted for in the EPS CAGR though, Companies issuing SBC comp have to grow earnings even faster because of it.

High SBC and high executives’ compensation are major factors as to why share price of GOOG underperforms AAPL since GOOG IPO.

Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google’s parent company Alphabet, had another big year for stock awards in 2022. The company’s proxy statement, released in April, show Pichai earned a total target award value of $210 million.

Nadella said search business is more attractive than Windows and Office. I agree. Nadella is willing to meet Google payment to Apple. So if Google is well run, should be the largest market cap company.

Since Ross’ survey, GOOG outperforms AAPL…

Since Sep 7 when Kris boo-boos AAPL (details below) and talks authoritatively (sound like some1 here :face_with_hand_over_mouth:), overvalued dinosaur AAPL outperforms undervalued growth stock GOOG. GOOG even underperforms S&P and Nasdaq. 路遥知马力 Long distance will reveal quality of horses.

Cut n paste from AAPL thread.

I don’t trust a person who can’t get details correct and make false binary.
Which company has ticker APPL?
Only two companies in the stock market? Only two choices? What is Kris smoking?

Expenses of GOOG is still high… hidden by SBC.

It doesn’t matter if profits grow fast enough to offset the EPS dilution. That’s mostly dependent on revenue growing fast enough.

After some layoffs, revenue per employee has increased. With high SBC, may have gone down, didn’t compute for the latest earnings.

A Xer claims that profits did grow fast enough. I didn’t verify.

You can jus look at EPS growth, and if it’s high enough compared to what investors expect for the company’s risk profile.

SBC won’t impact revenue per employee. It’s just:

Total revenue / # of employees

It increased since they did layoffs.

GOOG underperforms… that is when one did the wrong kind of fundamental analysis… business schools taught us ROCE, DCF, payback period, etc… are ignored.

Also, the threat of ChatGPT and other competing AdTech businesses are not sufficiently considered.

… AAPL outperforms GOOG…

Since 7 days ago…

… AAPL outperforms GOOG… because Gemini is a scam…

For decades, AAPL non-investors and haters have been trying to boo-boo AAPL and rationalize their underperformance. :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:

YTD, not much difference in performance…

“Decisions went from being made for the benefit of users, to the benefit of Google, to the benefit of whoever was making the decision,” he wrote.

True or false?

Since Sep 7 when he pumped GOOG over AAPL,
AAPL outperforms GOOG.

Let’s see what happen in 2024.

A rare Fin Twitter who is not bullish about GOOG.

Amit should have listened to Rihard, rather than his friend, Kris.

No need to update this thread since Kris is bullish about AAPL because of a potential massive upgrade of iPhone arising from Apple introducing LLM AI on iPhone. Also,…
