What is the interests rate for typical non subsidized student loans?
I had scholarships and federal grants too.
I think it’s 5% now. It’s gonna be different by the time your kids go to college.
So it’s about the same as mortgage rate.
From 5.05 to 7.6% for federal loans:

Private is 4 to 13%

I have seen the unsubsidized rate usually float a couple of hundred basis points over prime mortgage. The trick is to get a federal loan while you are a student (doesn’t accrue interest while you are in school) and immediately pay it off or refinance to a lower rate loan of some sort once you graduate
I think it’s better for the kids to get a loan so she knows the true costs of things. Even if the parents choose to pay it all off after graduation.
didn’t recall you giving me money.
Another show off like Wu Qi Jun and tomato. You’re forcing my hand to reveal…
Reveal!!! Reveal!!!
Maybe Harriet didn’t go to UCB and took money from a private college? USF?
