Bitcoin's 10 trillion dollar valuation is fast approaching

Optimists make money and feel good about the future.

Pessimists just feel terrible everyday.

To a pessimist, everything is a bubble. Crypto is a bubble. EV is a bubble. Metaverse is a bubble. Silicon Valley is a bubble.

So, @pastora has the current cycle peaked?

I don’t think so but anything can happen.

I did take half off of crypt this morning though. Price action was so off. I plan to btfd though.

I just finished reading this book. It’s sorta dated, being written in 2015, but does a great job filling in the basics. At least I now know what the heck a blockchain is. It seems to be a very popular textbook in college CS classes. Both Stanford and Berkeley use it as textbook.

@tomato are you still around?

Paradigm and the other crypto firms operate differently in that they often take tokens in return for investment—tokens they typically get a discounted rate. These tokens are both liquid and highly volatile so the firms’ performance will depend on the state of the crypto market and whether they decide to cash out.

Regular folks like us can also invest in these startups by buying the projects’ tokens.

What kind of potion has you taken? I need to be young and energetic too.

US should keep it in the Treasury :joy:

We’re close to peak crypto. Stadium naming rights are a peak activity.

What’s your take on crypto in the long run @marcus335 ?

I think blockchain tech is promising. The idea that crypto is worth money, because computers solve math problems to unlock it is honestly insane. I’ve never bought the “store of value” argument. It’s so easy to create a new coin. Then what makes one worth more than another other than marketing hype? Who knows how long the nonsense can last though? That’s the real question.
