It’s more than just traveler, my mom and mother in law told me about 3 weeks ago, ppl starting to relax since some ppl think it’s resolved(china tvb keep pumping china how great things are). So in her neighborhood they see some older ppl especially starting to not wear masks and restaurants starting to get crowded(for those still survived). Social distance got closer and etc… Many youngster still very alert, of course they do not believe in china… added the UK/Euro traveler, kind of expected.
News from my friend in guangzhou, they are locking down since March, not the whole city, but piece by piece, a community of 200k people.
The only country that S.Korea has ever banned is Japan as a result of “Japan’s travel ban on S.Korea”. It never banned travelers from China.
However, S.Korea recently decided to impose mandatory 14-days quarantine at the designated facilities (or their own residency if they have one in S.Korea, no hotels, airbnb, or families’ house allowed) for everyone (including its own citizens) entering S.Korea at their own expense (about $100 per day including 3 meals). Ever since this new regulation is applied, the number of people entering S.Korea decreased drastically. I think things would get stabilized.
However, I am not sure how Incheon airport can manage the deficit with such little traffic…
Good. Thought Singapore has been too generous. Negative stay at home for 14 days. Positive isolate in resort for 14 days if no need hospitalization, fully paid for.
Is this measuring anything other than how far people in different counties have to drive to get to a grocery store or other convenience?
I’m 17 miles for the nearest major supermarket. I drove 105 miles - each way - to report for jury duty.
Can anyone be forced to do a job s/he does not like? An interesting story. Long time ago I needed to change my job and asked my friend what is the right way to quit. He said I did not even have to give it in writing. Just say I quit and you will be out. I do not know how it works with Unions and all. But, I am sure there is a way to relieve someone who no longer likes the work or the money that one is paid for the work.
Sometimes you do not get that opportunity (losing job in layoff). A company wanted to get rid of my friend and they were playing all kinds of tricks to have him leave. They did not want to fire him, nor were any layoffs coming. And my friend did not want to leave on his own. He had to go through hell for the period he was there ( longer than a year).
