These numbers include data California has received from commercial, private and academic labs, including Quest, LabCorp, Kaiser, University of California and Stanford, and the 22 state and county health labs currently testing.
California now has 14,336 confirmed cases and 343 deaths.

So far, in South Lake Tahoe, we only have nine cases and none in the hospital. The hospital is basically deserted. Only emergency patients allowed. No visitors or volunteers allowed. All screenings are done outside the hospital. Nobody allowed in the hospital without screening.
One person from the Bay Area infected the 8 other cases. We anticipate the peak case load will be here in 2 weeks.

Payson AZ is now awash in people fleeing the more restrictive, more infected areas in the valley. The whole of Gila Co. has just 3 cases so far. But today in Payson not only was it bustling with traffic but the 11 Tesla chargers, normally all unused, had not one, not two, but three Teslas charging all at the same time. A harbinger of disease and death.

Norway and Switzerland perform the most tests per capita, more than double of South Korea. Even Canada is about to surpass SK. We still have a lot of catching up to do.

Despite the resurgences, these places are all still roughly in the containment phase of dealing with the pandemic, tracing individual cases and contacts—or some transitional phase that combines containment and the next step, mitigation, including social distancing measures, school and workplace closures, and canceling mass gatherings.
Implement mitigation measures before the need to do is prudent.
It’s a hopeful idea—that doing all the things that slow the virus enough for a public health system to fight it also builds a world even better than the one everyone fled.
Everywhere less crowded. Small student to teacher ratio, no high density housing, no traffic jam, … Mass migration to suburban?
