Dinner last night at Evans was fantastic. Like eating at a friends house. I had duck breast rare with the leg confit. My wife had salmon stuffed with a huge amount of crab. I would never try to cook these at home. Brought 3 bottles of my own wine. Gave the owners a bottle. They waived the corkage. Dinner for two $113 including tax, shared appetizer and desert. My wife gave them a $40 tip. It was half full. 14 patrons. I hope they survive. Will go back next week. Napa is for tourists. Tahoe is too. But the summer season is short. June 15-September 15. Restaurants need the locals especially during the 5 months of off season. 2 in the spring and 3 in the fall.
