American politicians don’t take Covid-19 seriously at all. Yes, that include Dr Fauci. He didn’t wear mask while watching a sport.

WTF??? What makes anyone think that Covid-19 is not sexually transmitted? There are a lot of viruses that are detectable in semen and women’s fluids that no one bothers to worry about because you catch them primarily through other ways. Zika, Ebola, and Lyme Disease have all been detected in sex-fluids after people were infected. If you don’t want to catch Covid, don’t have sex either!

The reality is the the virus is deadly for HONDAs but not for most…For which it is like a cold or flu. Definitely not deadly for school kids or anyone that is healthy.
We have sacrificed small businesses, restaurants and the travel industry and are suffering from mass hysteria. There is unknown damage to the economy.
Sweden is already recovering. The rates of infection are down in the US.
Time to move back to normal. My friend that owns Toast of Tahoe in Nevada had her best August ever. Meanwhile restaurants 5 miles away in California are struggling or closed. The uneven rules have undermined the credibility of bureaucrats and politicians

Speaking as a scientist, I disagree that we really know how dangerous it is yet. Sure, school-aged kids aren’t dropping dead but this is much more than a respiratory virus. 30% of D1 football players develop myocarditis i.e. inflammation of the heart. How is that going to affect them 10, 20 or 30 years from now? Nobody knows…
At the same time, I agree that we can’t shutdown the economy indefinitely. Take it seriously, require people to wear masks and warn them appropriately. People should be able to make up their own minds about how much risk they’re willing to take as long as they don’t jeopardize others.

Religion was started by people that were ignorant of science. Scientists have botched the covid19 response by first saying no masks and now insisting on masks. Everyone should wear masks and get back to normal. Sure there will be more disease. But the alternative is a complete breakdown of our society.
The government is busy picking winners like tenants and losers like landlords, parents and the hospitality industry. Science is not respected after being politicized

The people who said no masks i.e. the surgeon general Jerome Adams, an MD, are not ‘scientists’ but politicians. These guys knew full well that it was likely spread by droplets (as did Trump we found out yesterday) but deliberately lied to the American public to try to avoid a rush on N95 respirators because they were needed by physicians. Was it worth it? Time will tell but most of us don’t like being lied to even if there is a reason for it.

20 people in the house. Geez, there were that many at the resteraunt I was just at, eating and drinking and having a good time. Mostly around the bar. No masks.
