Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 Covid-19

Most of the increase in life expectancy over the last century is due to three things - vaccinations against childhood disease, antibiotics, and this is HUGE - we don’t drink like Russians still do. Average life expectancy of a Russian male is 65. For an American Indian living on a reservation it’s 50.
We should be doing MUCH better given all the other advances in medicine. Plus far fewer people smoking. Is poor lifestyle holding us back? You bet it is.
Oh and I don’t buy more frequent medical check-ups as a means of extending life expectancy. If people aren’t going to make the life style changes the doctor recommends those check-ups are largely wasted money.

All the people who want government healthcare should be cheering. This is the preview. Rationing of care is government healthcare 101. If people die waiting for care, then you don’t have to spend money treating them.

Seems really fishy to me. A couple of tidbits from comments on one of the articles I saw:

  1. They vaccinated that staff last week. How do we know that it’s not a side effect of the vaccine?

  2. I have yet to read anything that said that this worker actually tested positive. just that they’re blaming it on the worker.

  3. These guys work in the ER. They should’ve been wearing N95s. Oh wait, they were wearing masks, until they left the patient area and took off their masks and then hung out together. Tell me again, then, if a bunch of ER workers are hanging out together eating without masks in an area with possibly poor ventiliation, how an inflated christmas tree is really the problem here.

Not true. Glyphosate is in a lot of our foods and kills gut bacteria. Many many studies are showing that healthy gut bacteria are crucial to health from better nutrient absorption to a lower likelihood of adverse events when vaccinated, to a better immune system. Organic food will have reduced glyphosate.

Wait. People who received the vaccine still got covid?

Should be just the first shot. The majority of the antibody production is triggered after the second shot as I remember I read online before.

The hits keep coming.

One side effect of all the covid 19 deaths is social security will be solvent again! :grinning: Just kidding

They’re claiming there wasn’t enough time to develop immunity. One article said it required 10 days, and they’d only had 7. That statement is consistent with things I’ve heard from both pro-vax and anti-vax sides. For example, if you suspect you might actually get Tetanus from something you stepped on, you should not try to get a booster to protect yourself from that incident, you should get tetanus immunoglobulin because tetanus will develop before you can get an immune response from the vaccine. Similarly, if you find out you have been exposed to Meningitis, it’s too late to get a vaccine to protect yourself.

All that said, makes me go “hmmmmmmm” that 44 people presumably all got vaccinated last week, and now they’re all sick from a single person walking through a break room. 44. That’s a LOT of people. Were they ALL in the breakroom at the same time? Without masks? That’s REALLLLLLY fishy one way or another.

Sheriff, we’ll let you make that joke since you’re probably in the higher risk group.

Yes, I am. I am 70.

Hook me up if any of you don’t want to take the vaccine when your turn comes. I will happily take it off your arm. Imagine the freedom to go anywhere without worry…

:innocent:

In the overall equation the number killed by Covid is as grain of sand on the beach. Nearly all of them were going die inside of a year or less.
There’s lots of Covid in my area right now. Trying to find a healthy person who died of it is darned near impossible.

Most of us are already going anywhere without worry. Spending even one year of one’s precious, transient life hiding under a rock over something that’s 0.5% lethal just isn’t rational.

I now know a bay area family that got it. The tally was:

2 grand parents over 90
3 parents in their 60’s
2 kids in their 40’s

Everyone was fine within a few days. Even the grand parents were fine. One was hospitalized for 24 hours, since she has congestive heart failure.

Payson, Pine and Strawberry have elderly populations. Lots of folk got it - even the mayor. The deaths were in nursing homes where family had already been waiting on “the call” before any of this happened.
