I was taking only about 18+. Couple of friend of friends who were body builders under age 30 died of covid.
Thanks for your response! Let me know if you find the LNP info. Also, if there is a good sub reddit, post it here and Iāll go check it out.
Have you looked at the stats? Young people rarely die of Covid.
Depends on the paper. Many of these papers only require some knowledge of statistics.
A little bit of humor:

Got it. Thanks for the clarification.
Iām sorry to hear of your friendsā friends deaths, hope it was no one you knew personally.
Exactly. Iām double vaxxed. But an unvaxxed 10 yr old is at less risk of serious covid than a fully vaxxed 25 yr old. Iām not comfortable getting my young kids vaxxed unless I have a much much better understanding of how this vaccine works. The more I dig, the more concerned I get. Couple that with the fact that no other countries appear to be pushing forward with mRNA vax for kids <12, and I start to get quite worriedā¦
That is if you can trust the integrity and methodology of the paper.
Medical research is an empirical science. Itās not like a math paper where you can reason your way through. With medical papers you need to ask if other researchers have validated this paperās claim? Or the opposite that a lot of holes have been found and the paper is garbage.
You canāt decide from just reading one paper by itself. You need a whole lot more context.
Not to mention we have decades of data around potato chips. Alarmingly, we appear to have very little data at all regarding the specific LNPs used in Pfizer. The article below is a press release from a while ago about the company which makes them:
āUntil one year ago, lipids were only needed in gram quantities for very specialized drugs and for development projectsā
Now, it may be that there are very good, first principle biological reasons to not be concerned. I just canāt seem to find them anywhere. And I would love to find such info, because it would make me feel a lot better about vaccinating my kids.
Crazy
I have yet to find a reference indicating if antibodies wane over time because the mRNA is flushed out and your cells are no longer producing the spike protein or if your system becomes āusedā to the constant presence of that protein and stops reacting to it. Would be good to know.
the mRNA degrades over time, so your body stops producing spike proteins, and therefore, you eventually stop producing antibodies. As expected. We donāt have antibodies floating around from every disease weāve ever encountered.
For the covid vaccines, there have been many papers showing that even after antibodies wane, your bodies produce robust B/T cell responses, which are good at handling variants and preventing serious disease. This is why vaccines (or natural infection), even without boosters, are highly likely to reduce hospitalization, even after antibodies are gone. The focus on antibodies is misguided, because it is B/T cells which do the heavy lifting for long term immunity.
The antibodies that are historically measured as āimmunityā wane over time for most diseases and vaccines. However, for wild-type infections, there are other parts of the immune system that also learn to fight the virus that we donāt test for as telemarketer said. So it doesnāt mean you arenāt immune. The Covid vaccines donāt appear to set off all the other parts of the immune system - possibly because they are not live attenuated vaccines, possibly because they are injected and bypass the primary defenses of nose/throat/lungs. Not sure.
If the mRNA degrades over time thatās a good thing. It would obviate some of the concerns over long term inflammatory problems and auto-immune disorders.
But there are still legitimate short term concerns for people at negligible risk of being seriously damaged by COVID like blood clots and heart inflammation among the young, as happened to a friendās cousin. And I can see no reason for those who have already had the disease to get vaccinated. Nor is there much of a public safety issue as unvaxed people have a 50/50 chance of feeling sick if they get COVID and therefore quarantining at home until they feel better, preventing infection of others. Vaccinated people still develop active infections and are contagious; theyāre just far less likely to know it.
Until everyone gets vaccinated or has had the disease society is at risk. Darwin will take care of the anti vaxers. We will all be exposed or vaccinated soon enough. Then covid19 will be like the flu. With annual vaccines needed. Of course only 50% will bother to get them. I am getting my third shot in December.
Sounds like a great way to shrink the government.
Yes. The question Iām trying to answer (and I canāt find online anywhere), is what happens to the Lipid Nano Particles (LNPs) which are used to deliver the mRNA payload. They encapsulate the mRNA and keep the mRNA from being destroyed before delivery into a cell. These specific LNPs are brand new tech (developed in the last few years!!!). Itās amazingly difficult to find any information.
Well I guess I gave Darwin my middle finger in August.
And in the middle of it, because I was sick at home, missed an opportunity to spread it to over 200 mostly older people at a social event I was to attend.
Those rare cases of heart inflammation are concentrated in a younger group of people who rarely have serious issues with COVID.
Deaths from covid19. 5m. Deaths from vaccines 0.
I will take the vaccines just like I took all the rest. Getting shingles vaccine soon.
