Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 Covid-19

For those who have the medical background:

Nanomaterial Delivery Systems for mRNA Vaccines

Abstract: The recent success of mRNA vaccines in SARS-CoV-2 clinical trials is in part due to the development of lipid nanoparticle delivery systems that not only efficiently express the mRNA- encoded immunogen after intramuscular injection, but also play roles as adjuvants and in vaccine reactogenicity. We present an overview of mRNA delivery systems and then focus on the lipid nanoparticles used in the current SARS-CoV-2 vaccine clinical trials. The review concludes with an analysis of the determinants of the performance of lipid nanoparticles in mRNA vaccines.

Elt1, why do you post blatantly false stuff like this? There are multiple verified cases of deaths from Covid vaccines:

Immune thrombocytopenia was already a known adverse reaction to flu vaccines

4 unproven deaths on the internet vs 5 million. I will stick with the odds. The anti vaxers have the blood of millions on their hands. All started by falsehoods about autism. Sorry but truth has been destroyed by the internet and may never come back. This may be Rome in the year 400 AD. We are may headed to the dark ages which lasted 1000 years.
In an time where Bitcoin is worth 1trillion and Tesla is worth more than all other car manufacturers combined it is not surprising that many vaccines are condemned. Darwin will take care of anti vaxers and the market will take down the stocks that are held up by voodoo. Scary Reports of Deaths Following COVID-19 Vaccination Aren’t What They Seem

No offense, but your attitude kills people. If you can’t take vaccine injuries and deaths seriously, you are encouraging others to do the same - ignore them, pretend they’re in people’s heads, and never try to figure out how to prevent them in the future.

You’re worse than an anti-vaxxer - they at least care about vaccine safety. You could care less when someone dies.

I think elt1 is saying that no deaths have actually been proven to be attributed to this vaccine. That doesn’t mean there have been any. They just haven’t linked them to it. There is far more deaths due to covid from people not getting vaccinated. People get blood clots and die from them, especially older people, all the time.

That’s not the case. The coroners have attributed these deaths, especially the blood clots in younger people, to the vaccines. Obviously they could be wrong on occasion, but this is their job…

As for Immune thrombocytopenia, it is a known complication of flu vaccines, and there was no reason for anyone to try to claim it wasn’t possible that Dr. Michael’s Immune thrombocytopenia was from the Covid vaccine.

If we’re going to say there’s no link because we can’t be 100% sure, we might as well say that there’s no link between obesity and Coca Cola when someone drinks 5 a day.

For anyone who wants to watch the 5-11yo Pfizer EUA proceedings here’s the link:

Before anyone goes around saying the vaccine is safe, be aware that they are only approving it for EUA - ie that some kids (ie those in high risk situations) should be allowed to get it - not about how many kids should get it. They are quite clear about that in the proceedings that this is about giving parents permission to use it, not about approving mandates.

Dr Rubin at 6:52:30 -
ā€œThe question of how broadly to use it, is I think a substantial one, and I know we’re punting that to ACIT… It really is a question of what the prevailing conditions are, but we’re never going to learn about how safe the vaccine is until we start giving it. That’s just the way it goesā€¦ā€

I strongly support vaccination over 18+ but I’m not sure 5-11 vaccine mandate is necessary. I haven’t done deep research but from what I have read they are in less danger. One thing I read was even though they are not in danger they are high transmitters who could transmit to elders. I haven’t verified or dug deep though.

What surprises me the most is Americans are fighting about vaccines and meanwhile we have 750,000 dead and the Chinese with five times the population have only 4500 dead. Where is the outrage over that?
We can’t even call it the Chinese flu. And yet we are still not sure how this disease developed and why the the Chinese government didn’t control it, warn the world or stop foreign travel which spread it so fast.

There’s not much we can do from here to stop the Chinese government from suppressing the truth. If they want to say there’s only 4500 dead when they lost 450000, everyone can read between the lines.

I don’t think there is any justification at all. From what I’ve learned, we’re better off with kids getting it and getting robust natural immunity because it reduces the reservoir through which Covid can travel. Also, kids have fewer ACE receptors - early in the pandemic in Iceland, they traced all infections, and most if not all infections (Alpha at the time) in kids had come through an adult, and the adults had gotten it through other adults, and their schools were still open, but with cohorting. So while it’s certainly possible for kids to spread to adults, especially with Delta, they should have a lower contagiousness.

The vaccines don’t produce the same immunity, and if all vaccination is doing is reducing symptoms (which is great if the symptoms were going to hospitalize you, but not so great if you want to keep contagious people at home), then we’d rather the kids simply be immune than be asymptomatic spreaders.

I haven’t listened to the full 8 hours deliberation yet, but I did catch one part where the speaker said ā€œIf I were a transplant patient, I would definitely want the vaccine.ā€ That’s what the EUA is doing - is giving 5-11yo transplant patients the ability to get the vaccine. That is soooooo far from a mandate that Newsom should really be slapped on the wrist. Someone else said that the current CDC estimate was that 42% of kids already have immunity. Another comment was that they didn’t think this would turn the tide on the pandemic, but that it was important to make the vaccine available for high-risk situations at the parents’ discretion.

Dismiss the thousands of serious reactions to the vaccine - including death - in the VAERS database but attribute every death of a person who already had one foot in the grave to COVID.
Makes perfect sense.

If the Chinese had the same death rate as the US, then they would have had 4m deaths instead 4500. I doubt they could cover up that many. Looks to me like this virus hurt the US more any other nation.
No way to prove, but Xi has some explaining to do. I am not saying the virus was deliberately made and released. But it looks to me that it affects different societies in different ways. We need to get Americans to become healthier, to become more resilient and resistant to future virus. Who knows how many variants or future plagues are coming from all kinds of potential biological threats weaponized or not. Vaccines will need to be developed faster and more effective… no mater what the anti vaxers say.

The Chinese Government can do things we can only imagine, like quarantining whole cities or blocks or buildings to stop the spread. There are certainly more deaths than 4500, but nowhere around 450,000

Before it was widespread over here, in January 2020, Chinese people I encountered at ranch 99 were already wearing masks.

Forget about all that. We need to get Americans more resistant to disinformation. We got the vaccines earlier than all other nations. No excuses.

Overall good article, though I don’t agree with the ā€œthis is safer than Covidā€ - even in the FDA deliberations (which hadn’t happened yet as of the article), they weren’t sure. They just knew that they should make it available for high-risk patients like transplant patients.

" two more jabs, on top of the recommended seasonal flu shot, that potentially come with side effects and may confer protection of [debated durability]"

From what I recall, there was a comment that one dose could be enough. On top of that Dr. Hildreth said that the CDC thinks that 42% of children already have natural immunity.

Given the population ratio China would have experienced about 3 million deaths and they lose on average about 12 million a year so yes, they could easily have covered it up.

If Uttar Pradesh, with over 200 million people, didn’t really reduce their COVID death rate because of prophylactic use of Ivermectin do you think they could cover THAT up?

ā€œWe need to get Americans to become healthier, to become more resilient and resistant to future virus.ā€
Here we can totally agree. This is where a HUGE proportion of our heath care dollars are spent. It totally dwarfs what we are spending on treating COVID patients and there is much overlap. One good thing about COVID is that it has been a wake-up call for a lot of people with bad habits.

Do you know how many states didn’t use ivermectin and still covid cases went down? India even with high population has low death rate compared to us. No one knows why but there’s a high chance food, weather played a great part. So India is an outlier to use as an example.
