The language is ambiguous and perhaps it’s just poorly written .But if there’s no problem with differentiation then why would they say “detection and differentiation” and not just “detection?”

I thought we were short on tests. How are we supposed to boost testing if there aren’t enough tests? Are we able to manufacture our own, or just going to pay more than red states because we are rich?
Also, one thing I’m hearing is that there was a Covid-sick-pay for teachers that no longer exists. So they have an incentive to go in sick. Would be nice if he reinstated that. Doesn’t solve the shortage of subs issue, but…

Politicians use spending to serve patronage to buy votes. Therefore, they have incentives to find reasons to spend.

getting over COVID now, it sucked, definitely unique virus - I was so fatigued I couldn’t get off the couch for 3 days, finally feeling better after 5 days, other than the fatigue it felt like a bad cold

Conspiracy theory: Covid becomes a bad cold should be considered ended. But vested parties like government and hospitals refuse to let it end because government get easy funding for pet projects and hospitals get use-to-hard-to-get funding for many plans.

Easier to avoid than COVID.
My neighbor, in her late 60’s, is just getting over it. Wasn’t bad. She had COVID-classic early last year so likely had some protection from that. She credits her speedy recovery to tea made from boiled grapefruit peels. Who knows? Lots of good stuff in that.

Omicron BA2 vs. BA1
The good news is that Omicron BA1 gives you immunity against Delta which is likely why Delta went away so quickly.
They certainly had an effect on people’s lives if they couldn’t work for home. Or if they worked for a business which couldn’t get needed supplies. Or if they were wage slaves now seeing the value of their wages decline. Various forms of "deaths of despair’ have been on the rise.
