We sailed thru 5k, looks set to pass 10k in 3 days. Italyâs curve bends ever so slightly but it should surpass China in a week.

shelter in place and last week many tech company act fast to send ppl work from home should help. Just hope our medical system donât collapse or else weâre going to be like italy.

COVID-19 is behaving as expected but people and their governments arenât.
Honestly - shutting the whole world down over this is beyond insane. There will be more âdeaths of despairâ (alcoholism, suicide, etc.) from the economic fallout than there would have been had we done nothing at all about COVID-19. It would be different if it was killing children but it isnât. To illustrate how nonsensical the reaction has been a neighbor whoâs daughter works at a clinic in the valley (Phoenix) says they have set up daycare at the clinic because otherwise they would have to close it since so many workers have to stay home with the kids now that schools have been closed. So all those kids are now at the clinic instead of in school. Lovely.
This thing is deadly to the aged. The âGreatest Generationâ went out in their teens and 20âs to die for the future on the battlefields of Europe and the South Pacific. So now weâre shutting down the world - and threatening everyoneâs future in the process - to protect THEIR children who are 10-15 years short of check-out time no matter what. It just doesnât make sense.

Just saw that even though Covid tests are still lacking, you can get tested for flu. So if it came out positive you know itâs not Covid, assuming you donât hit double jackpot.
