Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 Covid-19

Except that our markets and economy are doing no worse than anyone else’s at this point excepting those countries that have already had their CV peak. Actually we went into this stronger than just about any other country in the developed world.
It might be impactful to the election if it was only us getting clobbered - but it’s the world. And if there’s one thing Republicans fear most it’s how Democrats use a crisis.

Correct stats? Media said China has an aging population?

This was true before Coronavirus and will be true for most of the rest of the world within 40 years or so.

Aging != aged.

It seems to me the lockdown will last longer than 2 weeks. Which politician will be brave enough to reopen when US case number soars to say 30 or 40k which seems inevitable now?

The reopening will also be gradual and slow. It will be quite a while before US economy operates at full capacity again. The Chinese economy still hasn’t fully recovered.

Yes, the key is still to keep the number below the curve and hope our medical system can hold up .

Bidet now or never!

Another “just a flu” guy caught it.

what is source for this? Want to share with others

Financial Times.

NYC is toast.

Seems like big crowded cities suffer the worst. Eldorado county has 0 cases.

US could have dodged the bullet if we took this more seriously. We had lots of time to get prepared but we chose not to. “It’s just a flu” they say.
