COVID-19 is not lethal for most people. Even if everyone is infected, few will actually die. Is this a true statement or not?
Trust them ! Truth is virus is hard to kill, rarely medicine is available. People will slowly forget COVID19 with similar stories, no matter whether it is trust able or not.
even 5% of the infected is serious, youâre facing a humongous number please, If you feel youâre invincible, feel free to go to new york/italy without protection to take your chance.
I am not invincible. On the other hand, I am actually very sure I am going to die one day (could be as soon as today). So will you. So will everyone on this forum. Death is inevitable. I just cannot time my death.

Only a specific group will benefit. Doctors should know who would benefit 
@pandeyathotmail Is not a broad-based prescription drug like Lipitor for Diabetes. Need to be very careful in prescription.
Nor is COVID-19 a broad-based threat. Everything has a context.

I think most of the discussion is centered around a small fraction of population who are likely in danger due to COVID. That is the context I was referring to. So, letâs say 5% of people are in threat due to covid , and 5% due to chloroquine, so the combined probability is 0.0025 (1/400)
Note: I just picked up some numbers for showing my logic. YOu can choose your own numbers if you do not like the ones I picked.
Not even as prescription drug?
Medicine is developed for the population. To kill a virus, need a medicine/ therapy customized for the individual. I recall reading there are some medical doctors able to do targeting but cost is prohibitive, only billionaires and important politicians have access to these kind of treatment. So,

Define âfewâ. Is 1.8% of a countryâs population a few? 1.6 million a few? 120k a few?

No. I do not always believe in peer-reviewed science (a.k.a. group think ). I have said this many times. If everyone becomes part of groupthink, people will stop innovating and taking risk. But, I do not stop others from believing in whatever they want.
Tylenol starts to melt your liver at like 3x the recommended dose. Advil causes ulcers. When companies see this stuff in animals before putting a drug in humans even at 20x the expected dose they almost always decide the risk of failure/liability is too high to justify the expense of development. FDA is also super cautious and will make their lives miserable if they try to push forward.

Virus is 1/10000th of bacteria, there is no kill or cure. Only our human immune system kills virus inside body. Even for COVID19 same solution !

Closest weâve gotten are the selective COX2s i.e. Vioxx, Celebrex. But you know how that ended with Viox withdrawn and the lawsuit. Great drugs but there clearly a cardiovascular risk in a very small percentage of the population.
