Fatality rate ranges from 4.51% (20867/462419) to 15.50% (20867/134669).
Yesterday was: Fatality rate ranges from 4.47% (18802/421023) to 14.79% (18802/127130)
Predicted infection rate based on 210 dead is 26250 to 35000
so either they’re REALLY good at guessing who needs testing or they’re REALLY good at treatment, or the people who are infected are younger? Or… They’re not counting their dead? Or a lot of people are about to die…
Based on SK and Diamond princess fatality, that’s 3.4M infected… Slow going, gotta say, to get anywhere around 60% of people over with.
They are not. That’s the point I have been making. NY’s test coverage is actually even worse than CA. There are countless Twitter posts with NY’ers complaining they couldn’t get tested despite very obvious symptoms.
I don’t understand how NY’s %age of positives tests can be so high and yet be right in line with the reported deaths assuming a death rate of .006 to .008.
Americans, government only talk about death, let me repeat LUNG FIBROSIS , same as sars , more and more truth coming out now. it’s not just death , even recovered some will lost 20-30% lung function permanently.
Two separate things. Death correlates with whether the person has underlying conditions whereas infection can be anyone. You are assuming that the people being infected are proportionate to the underlying condition ratio.
Happening here as well (my friend’s coworker). Not sure if he/she screamed on Twitter. The 12,100 is still pending btw, since 3/23 midnight ET.
