Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 Covid-19

CA +ve/total tests(results returned) rate is @13.5% - Total Tests done with results available - 15000
NY +ve/total tests(results returned) rate is @29% - Total Tests done with results available - 103000

just don’t test, everything backs to normal , stock back to 30k. if couple million died, shift those numbers to flu. if 10-20 million died, it’s just flu.

US is becoming china fast, everything we do, is copying from china. nice

if you caught it, better pray your lung won’t get fibrosis

Sorry if this got posted already, have to post and run.

" COVID-19 ON DEPLOYED US NAVY SHIP The US Navy reported its first confirmed COVID-19 case on a deployed ship, the aircraft carrier USS Theordore Roosevelt. The Roosevelt is one of the largest ships in the Navy, carrying approximately 5,000 personnel onboard. Sailors and Marines onboard work and live in extremely close contact for prolonged periods of time, which can easily result in outbreaks among the ship’s crew, including diseases such as norovirus and adenovirus. The 3 infected Sailors are being quarantined and flown off the ship, which is intended to help contain the virus before it can spread further. The ship’s last port visit was in Da Nang, Vietnam, where Sailors and Marines were permitted to leave the ship. The Navy has reported COVID-19 cases onboard other ships, but all of those were on ships that were in port."

This guy ignores the 12,100 “pending” cases.

15000 CA test/result is a JOKE.

Hope or BS?

80% error, china’s test kit, let’s make it 100% error, so there will be no more positive

Vulnerable group is larger than I thought.
About 101 million to 180 million Americans are above 65+ years old or have pre-existing health condition. 30-55%! of total population.

Coronavirus rapid tests from China have an error rate of up to 80 percent, according to a regional hygienist

Stop being a trouble maker and believe in government!

Are you planning to be a Singaporean? Singapore government is very generous

Singapore residents returning from the United Kingdom and the United States from 11.59pm today will serve their 14-day stay-home notice in dedicated facilities instead of their own homes, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said yesterday, as it further enhanced measures to contain the spread of the coronavirus amid a wave of imported cases.

Singapore residents refer to citizens, permanent residents and long-term pass holders.

MOH said those returning from the two countries will be picked up from the airport and sent directly to one of these facilities. The ministry is working with hotel operators to house the returnees. They will each have their own room and toilet, and have all their meals provided, so that they may avoid physical contact with other individuals.

One stone two birds. Two more weeks of vacation with free hotel lodging and meals for returning Singapore residents. Propped up hotel industry.

MOH noted that those coming in from the UK and US account for the largest share of imported cases. About 1,200 people a day have been returning from these two countries.

Singapore is an open society, all kinds of people come here.

Enjoy shopping in Singapore

You can get around the “pending” number problem by just use the sum of positive and negative cases as the base.

So positive ratio for CA = 2102 / (2102+13452) = 13.5%
NY: 29.8%
NJ: 30.6%

NY’s absolute number is bigger than CA. Good. But it’s positive ratio is 2.2X the CA’s. Its coverage is actually worse. For every 100 tests that NY didn’t do, it’s missing 30 confirmed cases, while for CA it’s missing 14. That’s bad.

Finally visited last year. It’s indeed a wonderful place. I’m sure it has some flaws but it’s pretty dam good. Singaporean Chinese only speak Mandarin? I only know Cantonese.

Mandarin, Hokkien and Cantonese. In Airport, hotels, … unless you ask in Cantonese, they would speak English or Mandarin to you.

Flaws? SFHs are too expensive. Freedom of speech? No character poisoning and slandering without proof.

People kept speaking to me Mandarin so I responded in English. Sadly though, my Cantonese is trash too.

I’m a terrible fob.

That assumption is flawed. You need to test more before you can arrive at that extrapolation. No one knows if the pending cases do not show exacerbated numbers, but the longer people remain untested, the more likely they will infect others.

The body is not even cold but Gavin Newsom and London Breed are already crying saying the Federal Aid is not enough.

The problem here is these two can’t explain(with data) why CA needs it.

At least Cuomo gave data today morning to explain why he needs more money.

Oh boy… I think that’s when I’d go to a different line. Or just leave the cart right there and …walk out.

This may make the most sense–keeps others from touching your stuff. I didn’t want to be rude to the guy bagging at Trader Joe’s, but it’s one more person to touch my stuff and he’s been touching everyone else’s too and not changing gloves in between. I normally bag when I’m at TJ anyways, but I can’t tell if I upset him.

A lot of these health conditions are things like allergies, asthma, and eczema, especially for kids. So far allergies and asthma doesn’t seem to be a problem…

A friend who is stuck in Manila says that they are not allowed to go out except once every 2 days to buy groceries AND you have to have a pass. No exercise, nothing.

Guess we’re lucky here.

27 deaths in CA = 3375 to 4500 cases. As long as the deaths are correct, we can make decent guesses as to # of infections.

40 deaths in CA = 5000 to 6666 cases.
