bring some test over to CA, CA test number are embarassiong given the amount of ppl living here
From @harriet’s post earlier today. We will see a humongous increase of test number in a couple days after the pending tests are processed.
“Almost 80 per cent of these new cases were imported, all from countries other than China even though we continued to see around 1,000 residents and long-term pass holders return from China in the past week,” he said.
None from China. @manch Take note.
The top three sources of imported cases to Singapore are the United Kingdom, the United States and Indonesia, Mr Gan said.
@manch Please tell them not to go to Singapore.
This translates to 6,800 tests per million people in Singapore, compared with around 6,500 in South Korea, and 1,000 in Taiwan.
Way more tests than any1.
Tell PM Lee to ban air conditioning for the entire island. Nobody will go to SIngapore. Problem solved.
New Jersey is racing full steam ahead. Michigan, Florida, Mass and Louisiana are coming up strong.
Alameda and Marin have zero case today! San Mateo slowed to a trickle.
Death sentence.
Your are implying nations with higher median age have higher fatality rate. Is only one of the factor, the main factor is quality of healthcare infrastructure.
Nation…Median age…Cases/mil…death/mil
Italy 45.4 years 1230 124
S Korea 42.2 years 180 3
SG 42.2 years 108 0.3
US 37.7 years 207 3
Cases have to shot up a lot to overwhelm Santa Clara healthcare infrastructure.
Ditto for California and national level.
Unlikely to overwhelm given that the curve is flattening.
So it appears US is under reporting corona deaths.
Why do you think those cases are pending for 3 days. Infection rate is underreported too.
According to Newsom CA has done over 68k tests
NY is the new Wuhan.
Kaiser sucks. Watch out for being sacrificed without consent.
A Woman With Lupus Said Her Health Care Provider Is Stopping Her Chloroquine Prescription And Thanked Her For The “Sacrifice”
They killed my mother and almost killed me. They are what socialized medicine would be like.
NYC healthcare system is on the brink of collapse. Exactly like Wuhan. Everyone needs to watch this.
So the woman is on routine chloroquine for Lupus… If there really are alternatives, what Kaiser did might make sense. I mean, it sucks, but… she doesn’t have COVID.
In the message Kaiser sent to her about its decision to withhold the medication, it wrote, “Please do not contact your physician about an exception process to get a refill, as prescriptions will not be filled even if written by your physician. Hydroxychloroquine does build up a level in the system that stays in the body for an average of 40 days even after the last dose is taken. If you do run out of medication and feel your condition is significantly worsening, please contact your doctor to discuss alternative treatments.”
“Thank you for the sacrifice you will be making for the sake of those that are critically ill; your sacrifice may actually save lives,” the message said.
In a statement provided to BuzzFeed News, Kaiser Permanente confirmed that it was no longer filling routine prescriptions for chloroquine.
How much Vitamin D is in that? It’s probably mostly calcium. I’d bet not enough Vitamin D.
Also, Vitamin D is better absorbed in oil. If you have a Trader Joe’s nearby, go there, by the vitamin D in the blue bottle (5000IU) or if you’re nervous the orange bottle (1000IU).
We regularly take 5000IU every day or every other day. Haven’t noticed any issues except for my kid being sick less.
Ok. So they aren’t reporting all the deaths then… If I had to guess they have 3-6 times more deaths than are reported. Most places are reporting a death rate of 3%, NYC was .5%. The .5% is accurate for number of deaths per widely tested population (like South Korea), but not for the small # of tests they’ve done.
500 IU. I ate Salmon a lot ![]()
500?
Outdated.
S.Korea 131/9241 = 1.42%
Not many nations are able to have lower than 1%
Some of those that can,
HK 4/453 = 0.88%
Taiwan 2/252 = 0.79%
Germany 229/41414 = 0.55%
Singapore 2/683 = 0.29%
Fatality rate is affected by quality of ICU beds a lot. AFAIK, ICU beds of the 330-beds (expandable to 500 beds) national centre for infectious disease in Singapore are well equipped with the latest and most advanced equipments.
