Trump should run on this issue alone. Biden has created false hope for millions that think they can just crash through the border.
It has to be closed immediately even if temporary to stabilize the situation. Biden is playing it for liberal votes. But his policies are creating a humanitarian disaster and insecurity for the whole country.
My friend was just in Mexico near Brownsville. He saw immigrants from many countries… mainly Chinese… is China that bad … why are they risking a border crossing from Mexico?
My close friend who is into private equity says China is not doing well. I suspect these people have the means or the hard cash to pay to get to South America and then go North to the US hopefully. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
I am really disappointed with what Biden’s done on this issue. If we have 1000s of folks streaming in every single day, we will end up having crime and security issues months/years down the line.
Biden didn’t have to indulge in this brinkmanship with the Reps and should have acted independently months ago.
Texas is literally taking over with their national guard to secure the boarder. They are refusing to allow US border patrol or homeland security to enter areas they secure. They are forcing people back to Mexico vs. allowing them to be picked up by federal agencies to be released somewhere in the US. It’s honestly crazy.
There are 2,000 migrants living in tents in Brooklyn.
Republicans are trying to impeach the head of homeland security over the southern border debacle.
Convoys are being organized to block access from the border … Biden needs to realize that he maybe creating a situation that will lead a Jan 6 event.
His homeland security guy is clueless and will be scapegoated… but this a lot more serious than that… Trump ran on immigration reform… he can use this tragedy to get re elected… he doesn’t have to do a thing…. Just show the videos on campaign ads…
The feds weren’t defending the border, so Texas is doing it now. Don’t mess with Texas is the original “f-ck around and find out” saying.
The issue is most Americans aren’t even aware of this. It’s getting very little coverage by mainstream media which some claim isn’t biased or pushing a liberal agenda.
It’s curious where they are going. But I remember 20-30 years ago seeing dozens of day laborers at Home Depot. I don’t see them anymore and I can’t get farm labor for less than $40/hr. Where are these immigrants going? What kind of work are they doing. Or are just living off government benefits?
This has been going on for 3 years now, but suddenly, now that in an election year Biden finally now cares about it? Despite being adamant that there’s no issue with the border up until a few weeks ago?
What does this mean if Biden gets re-elected? He’ll no longer have any incentive to care about the border once again so he’ll just go back to his old ways.
And btw, it’s not just Biden, there are bigger forces(businesses, cartels and others) which benefit out of this who are funding this thing, directly at the border and indirectly through the Congress - includes both Democrats and Republicans.
Now democrats are turning on each other with Biden refusing to help the NYC mayor. It gets better. NYC has a law where it can’t cooperate with ICE. That means NYC cannot turn over the 5 illegals who attacked uniformed officers to ICE for deportation. They were released without bail. That’s insane it’s possible to attack a uniformed officer and not have to post bail to be released. The illegals are costing NYC billions a year. The illegals are protesting they want housing, healthcare, and free stuff. Citizens are protesting to deport the illegals. It’s turning into a mess.
I’m not a lawyer, but I don’t get how a local law to disregard a federal agency is constitutional. Local law can’t conflict with national law. National law supersedes.
Meanwhile, Biden got his ass handed to him in a 2 hour call with China and didn’t mention the fentanyl problems. Then we wonder why there’s fentanyl on the streets. It’s made in China.
