I wonder if democrats thought people would be so empathetic towards illegals that they’d demand higher taxes on the rich and dismantling capitalism to fund benefits for illegals? That seems to be a major miscalculation. They seem shocked that people get mad when it impacts their own city. Now it’s not just a border state issue where liberal cites can claim moral high ground for being supportive of illegals without having to financially support them.
Democrats thought it was so wonderful to declare themselves sanctuary cities and refuse to cooperate with immigration authorities. Now they are living with the consequences. I hope their voters wake up.
I mean some people are self hating, what can you do about that. It’s a bizarre mental issue.

I used to think that was just hyperbole or made up. It’s actually not, and now there are a lot of studies that back it up. It’s really fascinating seeing younger women who’ve been “red pilled” speak about their time as liberal activists. It’s eye opening.

Harris has a 35% approval rating. That’s amazingly low for a VP. The rest of the country wants nothing to do with California style policies.
Trust the science…
I trust the science will support whoever is funding it and the conclusion they want. Scientists aren’t different. They’re going to act with the same instincts of self-preservation that others do. They aren’t going to publish science that’d end their usefulness and career.
The thing is the NGO’s get their money from the government. The people have a right to know how their taxes are being spent. It’s amazing to see even the bluest of blue cities are outraged now.

For people who think opening up the border to kids is humane:
They aren’t even doing checks to verify kids are with family, background checks on who they are going to live with, etc. It’s disgusting.
